To all my sons and daughters in Christ! Once again, I would like to thank everyone for your prayers for safe travels during the Pilgrimage to Rome. It was a glorious trip but I am happy to be back with you here in the Dells. Such joy is found when we grow close to Jesus in the Eucharist and venerate His great and holy Saints. In this spirit, I remind you of the great joy that is found in celebrating the Holy Day of ALL SAINTS DAY and the beauty of ALL SOULS DAY. ALL SAINTS DAY Masses will be celebrated on:
Tues., Oct. 31 @ 5:00 p.m. During this Vigil, we will remember
our deceased parish priests and those who have passed this year by reading their names aloud and lighting a personal candle. The candles will remain lit throughout the feast days and the list of names will be displayed in the Gathering Room of our Church.
Question of the week: Because we only love God as much as the neighbor we love the least, who do I need to look at differently this week if I hope to look more like God?

This weekend, our Parish will resume a second collection for our Sister Parish in Thiottle, Haiti. As reported by Fr. Guy in last week’s bulletin, the area has been hit with torrential rains that not only blocked roads but
put an economic strain on the people of Thiotte as they are unable to buy, sell or trade. Please give generously. Thank you.

The challenge is a request to show love for others or to pray for those in need. This week’s challenge is: “Do small things with great love” by helping your parents rake your yard.

“DOING SMALL THINGS WITH GREAT LOVE” LEAF RAKING 2017
Thank you to the adult volunteers who helped us: Shary and Larry Schmies, Tina Evans, Brad and Kelly Koenig, Monica Meyers, and Paula Brunner.
THANK YOU Last week’s bulletin showed that Saint Cecilia Conference of St. Vincent de Paul gave financial assistance totaling over $95,000.00 to the needy of our community during the fiscal year ending 9/30/17. If you donated goods for us to sell, had your purchases “rounded up,” participated in Walk a Mile in My Shoes, or dined during our fund raising event at Uno’s, we want to thank you. Whatever size your contribution, we are grateful for your desire to “help us help others.”
“It is not enough just to wish well; we must also do well.”
