GLOBAL LOCAL

CSA pursues the triple objectives of sustainably increasing productivity and incomes, adapting to climate change and reducing GHG emissions and enhancing removals where possible

Climate-smart agriculture, forestry and fisheries (CSA)

Most of them allow for co-benefits in terms of food security and nutrition, incomes, adaptation, resilience, etc.

a holistic approach for all

agricultural sectors, and their

correlation with food security and

other human needs, would

improve the effectiveness of

actions undertaken to manage

climate change by addressing

intrinsically linked challenges as one

FAO’s submissions to the UNFCCC on Issues relating to agriculture, for consideration at SBSTA 44 in May

2016, call for an holistic approach for agricultural sectors
