Buzz Buzz, California-Nevada-Hawai’i Key Clubbers!Welcome to the
75th annual California-Nevada-Hawaii District Convention in Reno,
Nevada: the biggest small city in the world! I hope you will all
enjoy District Convention this year. As an attendee, you will not
only experience and celebrate the end of a wonderful Key Club term
with all of your friends, but you will also have the opportunity to
meet new Key Clubbers across the California-Nevada-Hawaii District.
I encourage you to take advantage of the extensive opportunities
that District Convention provides. This weekend will be jam packed
with educative workshops, inspiring speakers and dozens of
opportunities to create lasting bonds with other members. I still
remember my first Convention four years ago and the unforgettable
memories made throughout that weekend. Whether this is your first
Convention or your last, I encourage you to step out of your
comfort zone and seize every opportunity to create lasting moments
and develop your leadership this weekend.
To those who are Delegates, congratulations! You have been given
the incredible privilege of deciding the 2020-2021 leaders for the
California-Nevada-Hawaii District. You will be able to vote on
behalf of the club you serve to determine who will become the next
District Governor, Secretary and Treasurer. Before voting, it is
crucial that you read the candidate’s campaign material within this
booklet, including both the Profile Overview and the Literature.
These materials will be beneficial for you to understand each
candidate’s unique platform and qualifications. Use the information
that they have provided to generate insightful questions to ask the
candidates during both Candidates’ Meet and Greet as well as
Caucus. Remember, an informed delegate is an effective delegate, so
please take advantage of this opportunity!
This Candidates Booklet has been created to help prepare to be
the best delegate possible. You will be given information regarding
the Candidate Meet & Greet, Caucus Questions, Caucus
Procedures, House of Delegates, and specific duties of each office.
Most importantly, you will be able to read all the campaign
materials of each one of the candidates.
The Policy, International Business, and Elections Committee
hopes that you will find this booklet helpful in making your final
decision. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any
questions, comments, or concerns.
We would like to thank each of you for another year of
outstanding service and leadership to the California-Nevada-Hawaii
Key Club District. We hope you have a fantastic time flying away
with service at District Convention 2020!
Always with a slice of service,

Election Process | Caucus Session Procedure

speaks of their goals and qualifications, and then they answer
questions.
Caucus & Moderators: Caucus will be held in Ballroom C,
arrive early as the session will begin promptly at 8:00 am. In the
caucus room, there will be two District Board members and a region
advisor. The Policy, International Business, & Elections Chair
will serve as the caucus
moderator while the other one will serve as the assistant caucus
moderator. The Region Advisor will serve as the adult moderator to
help the PIE Chair keep order. These moderators will time the
candidates and deem which questions are appropriate or not, based
upon whether the question is in bad taste or of a harassing
nature.
Candidates: All candidates running for District office or
International Endorsement will appear in the caucus session and the
timer will begin once they enter the room.

Election Process | House of Delegates
Procedure: Each club is allowed two delegates, who must be
registered prior to the House of Delegates. The House of Delegates
members will listen to the candidates’ final statements and answers
to questions from each of the current executives and vote by ballot
for the candidate of their choice.
Purpose: The House of Delegates provides a forum for the
candidates for each office to present their final message to the
District delegates, and where delegates vote for each position.
This is where the delegates will give their final vote!
After the Governor convenes the House, delegate entry and exit
will only be allowed during periods between candidate
presentations.
Candidates: If there are more than two candidates for an office
or more than four seeking endorsement, then a nominating conference
will be conducted. After the nominating conference, two final
Executive candidates and up to three endorsement candidates will
appear on the final ballot.
NO CELL PHONE or any other Electronic Device USAGE IS PERMITTED

be announced prior to the closing of this session.
International Endorsement: International rules state “A district
shall endorse not more than one candidate for the office of
President or Vice-President, and two candidates for the office of
Trustee.” If there is only one candidate for endorsement, delegates
are to choose whether to vote “yes” to endorsing the candidates or
voting ”no” to not endorsing the candidates.
Spectators: A spectator section, separate from the delegate
seating area, for non-delegate members and adult chaperones will be
provided. Spectators may not sit with or talk to the delegates, nor
take part in the process. Silence must be observed at all times.

What makes you stand out as a candidate for the respective
position that you are running for? The strongest thing that makes
me stand out isdefinitely my platform on education for CNH.This is
something I have spent a lot oftime focusing on for myself and the
division I serve.Officers deserve to be trained and grow along
witheveryone else. I spent an immense amount of my term training
officers individually in calls, helping members with MRP and
awards, and working towards the large training conferences to
benefit our officer base. All this experience will help me benefit
the Lt. Governors, officers, and members of CNH. The best thing
about educating the officers and Lt. Governors effectively is that
it will ultimatelybenefit the members! This means more
consistentcommunity service, social events, more positiveleadership
experiences, member recognition,
And more. I am definitely confident that my platform can help
propel us even higher! I know that I will always work tirelessly
for the organization that gave me a home. So, one day, this can
welcome in thousands of more servant leaders just like YOU! More
things that help me stand out are wise decision-making and the
ability to realize I still have a lot to learn. My time as Lt.
Governor has taught me a lot about decision-making in stressful
situations. I realize what it takes to make the decision that will
benefit our CNH Key Clubbers and that it will be difficult
sometimes. Lastly, I have had experience in the past 3 years, but I
don't think this is where I stoplearning. I want to continue
learning, working, andspending time thinking of new initiatives,
resources, and ways that the district can help all of our clubs!
What was your most meaningful contribution of service to CNH Key
Club? What made it so?My most meaningful service contribution in
CNH Key Club is an event I hosted for Division 27 North called
"Grizzly's Workshop". This was one of the most ambitious service
project that I or Division 27 North has hosted in the past 4 years.
We had all 11 of our schools collect donations for toys, clothes,
and gifts for children for the holidays. Some schools held toy
drives, clothing drives, and collected any meaningful gifts that
came. This was an interclub with Lodi Kiwanis as they helped
provide some of the wrapping and tape for the gifts. At the service
event, schools and members would bring their donations. After a few
ice breakers and set-up, we got members set up to start wrapping
presents, writing cards to children in need, and making goody bags.
We had set up multiple different lines to do this. I was extremely
stressed about the event at first. However, members and my Kiwanis
LTG brought many generous donations, which honestly warms my heart
till this day. I was able to see the true spirit of service, with
my own eyes. It makes me emotional thinking about the event as I
was so happy to see everyone enjoying it and that we were changing
children's lives. I was very active during this event as I was
running all around the gym, giving gifts to wrap, wrapping paper,
helping members, and storing gifts. I always enjoyed the service
events that kept me on my feet and active. I felt that this became
more

What makes you stand out as a candidate for the respective
position that you are running for? Although I believe that all
candidates are qualified to serve as our District Governor, my
undying passion and incomparable motivation makes me stand out as a
candidate for District Governor. Ever since my freshman year of
high school, I’ve developed a unique passion for service and
helping others, motivating me to seek more information about Key
Club. With my drive to learn more, I was able to learn so much
about Key Club early on into my Key Club journey, leading me to
become a club officer and a division executive assistant as a
freshman and sophomore. My determination truly makes me stand out
as it can drive me to achieve new heights, which is exactly what I
want for the CNH District. Additionally, as a Lieutenant Governor,
I’ve grown to create close connections with many members at
Division events, creating a safe space for them. I was also able to
develop a loud and bright personality, with the ability to lead and
serve a large group of people. This being said, I stand out as a
candidate because I have undoubtedly exemplified inclusiveness and
caring in order to make others feel
welcomed and loved. All in all, my personality and public
speaking skills make me stand out and will allow me to communicate
comfortably with the District, resulting in effective leadership.
As District Governor, I will be able to create unbreakable bonds
with members of the entire CNH District. Overall, with my
experience, passion, and determination, I hope you can trust me to
serve as your District Governor for the next term.
What was your most meaningful contribution of service to CNH Key
Club? What made it so?I find every service event that I attend
meaningful and important in its own way because every event has an
impact on my life and the lives of others. In particular, the most
meaningful contribution of service was serving at Division 4
North’s first Donation-Based Bake Sale. Throughout the entire five
hours of service, many people from the community would come up to
my group and I to ask us the question “What’s Key Club and what is
all this for?” before donating any money for any baked good. This
led to my quick elevator speech of explaining this organization and
the Pediatric Trauma Program. To my surprise, many times this
speech led to many people, no matter what age, to donate money
without even taking any baked goods. It was then that I realized
when serving our communities, service must be done by the community
as a whole, with everyone contributing to help. I hold this event
dear to my heart because I am so grateful to be able to educate my
community about Key Club and what we do while making bonds with new
people. Many times, people would take pictures with our group
selling, give us a hug or a high five to appreciate what we were
doing, and it made all of our hours of baking and selling so worth
it. By the end of this event, we were able to make over $600 for
the Pediatric Trauma Program and it made my passion for Key Club
grow even larger.

What makes you stand out as a candidate for the respective
position that you are running for? I possess an unmatched passion
for this organization. Everything I’ve done in Key Club has brought
me such genuine enthusiasm, and I will carry on this love with me
to serve the district. Whether it be biking two hours to a service
event, completing a list of responsibilities for my elected role,
spending 8 hours creating hundreds of onigiris to sell, or skipping
a trip to LEGOLAND to attend an event, nothing that I ever do in
Key Club feels like a chore; it is something that I genuinely enjoy
spending every minute doing. It is with this passion that I also
provide a unique energy that fosters a welcoming environment for
others to feel confident in their abilities, comfortable asking
questions, and able to challenge themselves to achieve their
highest potentials. Throughout my Key Club journey, I have stepped
out of my comfort zone to connect with people promoting an
inclusive environment in the division that I serve and encouraging
many others to do the same. During my term as Lieutenant Governor,
I approached a new, shy member at one of our Pre-Fall Rallies and
held a very memorable conversation with him about his high school
ambitions. Ever since, this member
has gone to almost every event and is now well-known for his
ambition and energy in the division. This moment was especially
important for me as I watched the passion and confidence of the
member flourish and realized that I could tangibly impact another
individual's Key Club journey. As District Governor, I am confident
in my ability to bring this same dynamic to the District, by not
only encouraging greater interaction and bonding amongst Lieutenant
Governors within the District Board, but also bridging the divide
between the district and members and completing every task with my
fullest effort and inspiring others to do the same. Ultimately, my
unwavering passion and charisma will serve me well in ensuring the
greatest term as your District Governor.
What was your most meaningful contribution of service to CNH Key
Club? What made it so?My most meaningful service contribution was
at one of my first events with INSAN, a non-profit organization
that aims to end hunger, poverty, and unemployment. At their
homeless shelter, I began in the kitchen cutting fruits and
vegetables, while the other volunteers helped to carry other items
in. At the time, I was unaware of the impact I was making. I was
just helping prepare food to be served to residents at the homeless
shelter. Then, once all the food had been prepared, I delivered the
food to the handicapped residents who were not able to make it to
the dining area. As I served the food, my heart had just melted
like chocolate in your pocket. Seeing them so happy and grateful
for what they were receiving was such a joy to see. This was my Key
Club Moment. This was where I experienced that unique satisfaction
that comes with serving others. This was the start of my love for
this organization and what has continuously inspired me to pursue

What makes you stand out as a candidate for the respective
position that you are running for? I have experience as a secretary
(and completing secretary-like tasks, such as the Division Monthly
Report Form that is submitted by all Lieutenant Governors) on the
club, division, and district levels, so I'm familiar with all of
the responsibilities, and more importantly, problems that club
secretaries, LTGs, committee secretaries, etc. might face. However,
I believe that the aspect that makes me most qualified to serve as
District Secretary is the knowledge I gained from the main problem
that I faced as a Lieutenant Governor: between the 2018-19 and
2019-20 terms, the division I serve has become drastically smaller
due to the high number of graduating seniors, many of whom
"carried" the division. Similarly, the CNH district has been facing
a worrisome membership decline for the past couple years, and from
what I learned from my time on District Board, strategies to
counteract this trend haven't been completely successful. Because
of my
experience as Lieutenant Governor of Division 26 South, I have
knowledge and ideas as to how the district should change its
mindset to treat this period of low membership in a way that not
only will lead to an increase in membership, but will also increase
the quality of each and every member, and will ensure a brighter
and more sustainable future for California Nevada Hawaii Key Club
that can be enjoyed by Bees for years to come.
What was your most meaningful contribution of service to CNH Key
Club? What made it so?The most impactful and meaningful service
event that I've attended in the past few years was last summer at a
Relay for Life event. Throughout the first half of the event, we
picked up trash, refilled water buckets when needed, etc.- pretty
standard for an event like Relay for Life. However, what really
made that event meaningful to me was when myself and some other
volunteers headed up to the bleachers to use the Luminaria bags
(paper bags on which attendees could write messages to loved ones
who had or had suffered from cancer) to spell out the word "LOVE"
in preparation for that night, when the bags would be filled with
glow sticks. It was an extremely tedious process (we had to open
each bag, fill it with sand from a truck on the other side of the
field to keep it from blowing away, and position it correctly so
that it actually looked like "LOVE," and readjust as needed), and
that day was one of the hottest days of the summer (despite
spending my whole life in California, I can't stand heat!).
However, once we were finished, it was truly satisfying to see the
beautiful results, and I felt rewarded not just because of the
actual bags but because of the positive impact that they had on
those who had dedicated bags to their loved ones, and how the event
and our hard work had allowed them to honor their friends and
family members in such an amazing way.

What makes you stand out as a candidate for the respective
position that you are running for? I believe what makes me stand
out as a candidate is my ability to easily make personal
connections with others and be inclusive in every situation.
Throughout my time in Key Club, I have been able to make friends
with a very diverse group of people from all over California,
Nevada, and Hawaii. I have been able to maintain friendships with
not only my fellow peers but also the Kiwanians in CNH as well. I
want to take what I learned during my LTG term and implement it in
the district. I believe as a District leader it is essential to
have the ability to maintain positive connections with the members,
and if we can all connect as a family, I think there are so many
new doors that will open for us as a district. As a member of CNH,
I always felt intimidated by the
executives and felt that it was difficult to reach out to them,
but if elected I want to give members more opportunities to
communicate and connect with the executive board, not as an
executive to a member, but as a Key Clubber to Key Clubber. To
ensure this I will make it my priority to make more opportunities
for members to easily reach out to the executives. I think the CNH
Instagram account is one of our most powerful resources. I will
fully utilize this to hold IG Lives and Q&A’s frequently and
not only make it a priority to connect with members on District
Board but with every CNH Key Clubber!
What was your most meaningful contribution of service in CNH Key
Club? What made it so?Although every service project I have
participated in has been influential in my Key Club experience, the
most meaningful one would have to be the flower pot painting
service event that I held last September. This event was the event
where I broke the division’s record for the highest member
attendance, but that’s not what made this event so special for me.
I can vividly remember all the members smiling, talking, and making
new friends as they painted these flower pots that would be donated
to senior homes. After the event when I dropped off the flower
pots, the glowing faces of the people at the senior centers really
touched me and I really saw how impactful what we do in Key Club
can be. One of the elderly approached me and commented on how
beautiful the pots were and told me it made her day. It made me
extremely happy to see how much of an impact this little service
event could have. Service events like these have always made me
feel helpful and the idea of being able to engage with the people
in my community is one of the biggest reasons I love being apart of
the Key Club family.

What makes you stand out as a candidate for the respective
position that you are running for? A good leader is not defined by
the pedestal they occupy, but rather by the foundation that they
build under their team. Can you see yourself as a single valued
member in a group of 32,973? Do you see yourself as a member of a
family when you think of Key Club? I'm so proud that Key Club has
been such an organization for me and for you. With all the skills
and experience that I have acquired throughout the years, I am
confident in bringing change to the CNH district and in working
with you as the future leaders of Key Club to ensure that every
member, every officer, and every supporting role has a purpose
within Key Club. I stand out as a candidate to do just that, to
establish a new beginning for CNH, facilitate education that lifts
and empowers members, and to re energize a passion for service.By
serving as the D42E Lt. Governor, I have learned about the
importance of the division monthly report
form and how feedback to the membership should always foster
accountability and motivation. In this position, I also learned
about the importance of initiative by placing an emphasis on
accurate service reporting. Within one month, our service doubled
the impact we made in the previous term, and the engagement of the
membership was the main reason for this. By serving on the CNH
Strategic Planning Advisory Committee, I was able to identify and
evaluate solutions and I intend to diversify the opportunities CNH
has to offer. Most importantly, through connecting with members, I
learned that self-imposed limits we create for ourselves for
perceived stability are not reflective of our desire to be a part
of something different - to create a legacy. In these past years, I
finally allowed myself to cultivate my own identity, and through
this experience, I intend to offer that same opportunity for YOU to
step outside your comfort zone to mark the 2020-2021 term with club
excellence, meaningful member experience, and an increase in our
impact on OUR world!
What was your most meaningful contribution of service in CNH Key
Club? What made it so?Ever since my first hour as a volunteer, I
knew that service was an action that carried so much potential to
change the world. However, I did not know much about the world we
were changing. It wasn’t until my community was affected by
unthinkable tragedy did I learn why our organization gives hope to
those who need it the most. Michelle, our IP LTG, stood out by
inspiring us to take the opportunity to create care kits for those
who had lost their homes and their loved ones in the fires of 2018.
The whole experience was illuminating. Not only was I able to
repurpose all of the little shampoo bottles I graciously take from
every hotel stay to give to those who had lost their personal
belongings, but I was able to write a letter that carried meaning.
Every card was unique and had a personal message. To find something
good, to discover a community, amidst so much hardship allowed me
to respect service so much more. This made me even more eager and
dedicated to serve others after seeing how much impact we were
making. To honor the lasting impact we made, we brought a poster to
Fall Rally South in support of those who were affected. It was Key
Clubbers like you who took a picture with our poster and spread our
message, and this group act helped all of us share pride in our
organization.

What makes you stand out as a candidate for the respective
position that you are running for?My experiences in leadership
positions, especially as treasurer, have taught and prepared me
with the skills and experience useful for the position I seek. As
my home club treasurer, I have been able to successfully carry out
my duties and learn how to serve as a better treasurer.
Additionally, serving as a Charity Team member on Division 44
North's Division Leadership Team has further allowed me to learn
more about the charities we support. My experiences of handling
dues and navigating through the Membership Update Center,
planning/organizing fundraisers, working with administrators
through paperwork and money, etc. demonstrate the useful skills I
have to run for District Treasurer.
What was your most meaningful contribution of service to CNH Key
Club? What made it so?The most memorable moments of my life have
helped me appreciate and value the many opportunities I’ve gotten
to serve. I’ve learned a valuable lesson that serving your
community is an opportunity for you to utilize that experience and
grow as a person. Despite the countless memorable service events
I've gone to, whether it be helping at a food bank or sign-waving
for Kiwanis, I find one event especially distinctive from the
others. I vividly remember that evening when I
went to help set up an important fundraiser dinner. The New
Vision Fundraiser brought together many business partners,
sponsors, and supporters of crisis survivors. As cheesy as it may
sound, it was that night, after chatting and listening to
conversations with performance artists, event coordinators, etc.,
that opened my eyes to the world more than ever. People united
there to raise awareness for the fight against human trafficking. A
victim-survivor stood on the stage, bravely sharing her vulnerable
past while the rest of us listened attentively. That night left me
in awe while I reflected back on how so many people from all walks
of life united in hopes to bring more change and awareness to our
world. Perhaps the service I had done at the event did not bring
significance to the attendees; however, the event presented to me
an unforgettable experience. Just imagine how united and impactful
we all could be together through sharing our stories, serving our
communities, fighting to change lives and help give children around
our world better lives, etc. Experiences, such as this one,
continue to fuel my passion for service and allow me to grow as a
person.

What makes you stand out as a candidates for the respective
position that you are running for?I feel that my ability to deviate
from traditional methods differentiates me from other candidates
for the position of District Treasurer. Despite being in this
organization for 3 years, I can see Key Club through a new lens and
bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table after identifying
hiccups in the Key Club experience. For example, I recognized the
obstacle of not having an efficient method to record donations to
all the preferred charities and immediately devised a plan to
implement a monthly Preferred Charities Donations submission form
for the following term, if elected as District Treasurer. This
ability to make new, creative attempts to resolve recurring issues
also exemplifiesmy personality of wanting to step outside of my
comfort zone and challenge my limits. Furthermore, my efforts to
make a lasting,
emotional connection with members and officers alike set me
apart from other candidates while also explaining why I am
passionate about setting aside funds for low-income Key Club
members. I especially grew dedicated to this mission when I learned
many of the most dedicated members I serve were unable to attend
Fall Rally South due to financial circumstances. Although my plan
initially emerged from an issue I noticed on the division level, I
plan on tackling this at the district level as it applies to more
members than simply those from the division I serve. Since I can
implement new plans and express my fullest, unwavering love for Key
Club, I stand out as a candidate for the position of District
Treasurer.
What was your most meaningful contribution of service to CNH Key
Club? What made it so?While Thanksgiving is usually a holiday
associated with cozy times with families, incredible feasts of
food, and a renewed spirit of gratefulness, I began the day
grumbling about waking up early and having to volunteer in the
dreary weather. As I was volunteering, I could feel my fingers
freezing, my body shivering in an attempt to conserve heat, and my
feet becoming iced from sloshing around in the mud. Despite these
hardships, I and a three other Key Clubbers ended up enjoying our
time by handing out coffee to the runners that morning. In the
spirit of both Thanksgiving and the gloomy weather, every runner
expressed their gratitude towards our service in serving the
coffee. We commonly heard compliments such as “You guys must be the
most liked tent” or “This coffee is just what I needed” and each
time, all four of our frozen faces would break out into a wide
smile in response. Through this service event, I learned about the
immense importance of keeping a positive attitude and how
volunteering can become increasingly meaningful on days where
community service is least expected. People would not expect
teenagers to be volunteering under such conditions, but I can
proudly say Key Club has shaped and cultivated members into the
most dedicated servant leaders of our communities. This service
event further inspired and motivated me to provide service to my
fullest potential, and I hope more members can experience these
inspirational moments.

What makes you stand out as a candidate for the respective
position that you are running for?I always strive to not only push
myself, but also toimprove the many organizations that I
ampassionate about. This is especially true for KeyClub, which I
prioritize above all else. Prior toassuming the position of
President, the lack ofmembership at my home club was an issue
thathad yet to be resolved. This glaring problemprompted me to take
actions that would help theclub grow and give more individuals
theopportunity to create a Key Club moment of theirown. As a
result, in my sophomore year I took aleap to serve as the President
for my home cluband succeeded in reviving a virtually dead clubby
focusing on membership growth. After thisexperience, I began seeing
a decline withinmy home division— Division 4 South. Therefore,
as
Lieutenant Governor, I acted to increasemembership throughout
the division and toaddress the increasing number of inactive
clubs. My efforts led to a growth in membership as well asa rise of
activity in the previously inactive clubs. However, CNH is now
facing a similar issue. Thedecline of dues paid members is
becomingincreasingly worrisome and needs to be addressedimmediately
so that our membership returns to itsformer count. My experiences
of serving as both aClub President and Lieutenant Governor
hasprovided me with the skills and insight to assist inthe growth
of divisions and individual clubs.Currently, the education provided
to division andclub levels is extremely general, with both largeand
small clubs given the same resources. It iscritical to cater the
support needed for eachindividual club to optimize growth. Larger
clubsrequire certain resources in order to maintain
theirmembership, but smaller clubs require differentresources in
order to expand. Due to myinvolvement in CNH as Lt.G, as well as
mycooperation with the larger clubs within the district,I have the
unique ability to help ignite passion forKey Club throughout
CNH.
What was your most meaningful contribution of service to CNH Key
Club? What made it so?About a year and half ago, in December of
2018, was the morning of the annual Rose Float parade. We were
required to be at the bus site by 5:00 AM on the cold winter day,
and to further make mattersworse, my friends who were signed up to
attendthe event didn’t show up. I was alone, withpractically no one
I knew too well. At the event meand a couple other people from my
division werepicked to be a part of the trash duty for the
event. The task was viewed as grueling and practically noone wanted
to do it. However, it ended up beingone of the most fun times of my
life. I made someof my best friends that day while volunteering
andmade the most out of the situation we were put in.That was the
day I realized that Key Club isn’t just acommunity service
organization, but also a familythat would always be by my side.

What makes you stand out as a candidate for the respective
position that you are running for? Serving as International Trustee
for two of the strongest districts in International and
anInternational district, I've worked with a diverse range of
districts and leaders. The PNW hasexposed me to fresh opinions and
information, leading me to have a unique stance on urgentquestions
regarding International that affect the districts. Seeing the
importance of stakeholderanalysis and surveys, I've used my
critical thinking as a member of the prestigious ExecutiveCommittee
to create the Five Year International Strategic Plan. I've visited
events such as New York's
"Tri-K" Kiwanis Family Weekend, reinforcing my love for the
Family and trust in ourimpact. CAD has shown me a passion for
service so pure and intense and the importance ofDG/DA bonds and
how we must cooperate beyond the Sistricts and as an International
entity toremain the largest student-led organization in the world.
Working with our International ServicePartners, I've re-imagined
our symbiosis and member involvement. Beyond these insights
arethose that I gained working with start-ups and serving as a CNH
Ltg and as the first four-yearpresident at my school. I am also the
only current Bee to attend three ICONs, and I hope that asIP, I
will inspire others to also shoot for the stars. I am confident
that I have all it takes to be aneffective leader, and my
communication, organizational development, and strategic
thinkingskills paired with my passion and energy are beyond
competent and unmatched. Myexperiences can not be summed up in
words, but with your faith in me, I will bring what I'velearned
from CNH, the PNW, NYDKC, and the CAD and be a ground-breaking
IP.
What was your most meaningful contribution of service to CNH Key
Club? What made it so?I don't run often, but when I do, it's for
service.March of Dimes hosts a spring initiative every year called
March for Babies. As a fan of purple(D37N lavender pride!) and
interacting with others, I loved everything about the March, but
myinteraction with this organization goes beyond the marches.
A family close to mine had a premature baby, and seeing the
impact that a sick baby can haveon a family moved me to understand,
as much as an outsider can, the importance of motherand baby
health. This combined love for the March and my pain for those
close to my heart ledme to become the March of Dimes liaison,
though which I have spent countless hours on callsand strategically
planning the future partnership between KCI and MoD. MoD is not a
prioritypartner of CNH, so I've focused on planning future
opportunities for us CNH Bees and other KeyClubbers with limited
MoD exposure to boost involvement and education on
maternalhealthcare, as this is what I can do to help create the
foundation upon which we can continue toserve.
