Go to CMS websiteURL:

https://scripps-cms.endplay.com/

Log in to CMS

• Enter your login credentials

• Your email address

• Initial password is “password”

•Click Sign In

•Change password and create security question

Create a StoryFind “Create” in the top right

corner.

Create a StoryHover over “Create.” Then, click on

“Story.”

Create a StorySelect the “News” or “Local News”

template. Click Continue.

NOTE: Although it does not show up in this

screenshot, there will be a dropdown

menuwhere you can make your

template selection.

Create a StoryA new tab will open and display this.

Create a StoryScroll to “Body” box and write your

story text.

The web version of your cool story goes here.

Check out the buttons above the box. You can even spell check, copy,

paste, etc.

Create a Story

• Scroll up to the “Headline” box and enter a title for your story. It should answer the question, “What is your story about?”

• In the “Dateline” box, enter the place where you filed your report

• Look for “Attributes” box on right side of page

• In “Author,” enter and select your name.

• In “Copyright,” select “Scripps Only Content 2012” from dropdown menu

• Look for the “Categories” box under “Attributes”

• In the text box, type “Proof” and select it.

• Ignore “Side Bar,” “Related Headlines” and “Topic Keywords” boxes

Create a Story• Scroll up to top of page on

right where it says “New”

•Click Save button

• IMPORTANT: DO NOT CLICK PUBLISH BUTTON

• A message will pop up saying your story has been saved as a draft. You are DONE!
