IntroductionCompared to bare tubing that is field traced andinsulated, prefabricated tube bundles:
Expedite installation
Reduce installed cost Ensure long term reliability and safety of the
entire system
Consistency and qualityare a prerequisite in allThermon manufacturingprocesses. Thermon or-ganizations throughoutthe world operate to theISO9001 standards.
With Thermons QuickShipprogram, most common
bundles with stainless steel, copper, and fluoropolymertubing will ship in 3 to 5 business days.
ExperienceComplete heat tracing systems must includeinstrument line heating. Thermon tube bundles arereliable, cost-effective products for heated and/orinsulated tubing.
Thermon has earned the reputation as . . .The Heat Tracing Specialists, supplying both electricand steam heat tracing solutions since 1954.
Better SolutionsThe heart of any electrically heated tubing bundle isthe heat trace. Thermon manufactures every typeof resistance heat tracing available today. Oursole-source responsibility for overall performance, especially in electrically classified hazardous areas, cannot be matched. Whatever the application freeze
protection, high tempera-ture maintenance or sensitiveanalyzer lines Thermons
complete line of productsprovides superior heat tracingsolutions.
IndustriesMany times tubing requires heat trace and insula-tion. Pre-insulated tubing is the most reliable, con-sistent, and cost-effective way to accomplish this.
Industries relying on instrument tubing bundles include: Oil and Gas Production Refineries Chemical plants Pharmaceutical Power GenerationPulp and paper

Tubing OptionsThermons flexible manufacturing
process can include any tubingmaterial:
316 and 304 stainless, weldedor seamless
EP (Electropolished)
CP (Chemical passivation)
SilcoSteel *, SilcoNert * & Sulfinert * finishes
Monel
Titanium
Inconel 825, and Alloy 20 are readily available
Fluoropolymer tubing, PFA, TFE and FEP. Double containment tubing or multiple tube materials
can be provided in a common bundle.
Nylon, polyethylene, and most any other tubing materialavailable.
* SilcoSteel and Sulfinert are tradenames of Restek Corp.SilcoNert is a tradename of SilcoTek.
Polymer JacketsThe need for protecting the thermal insulation and other compo-nents is accomplished with a continuous extruded polymer jacket.
Standard jacket material is ATP (Arctic Thermoplastic), with anoptional TPU (polyurethane) material available.
Design ToolsCompuTrace-IT is an invaluabletool for projects that requiresteam and/or electrical heatingfor instrument tubing. ThermonsTubeTrace pre-insulated and heattraced tubing can easily be de-signed to include terminations and
accessories for most applications. The user can create systems withhazardous area approvals with any one of five globally recognizedstandards. For steam heating applications CompuTrace-IT candesign systems for light or heavy steam tracing.

TubeTracewith Self-Regulating BSXTM
A cost effective solution for water freeze protection and lowtemperature maintenance.Tube Temperature Range:40F (5C) to 150F (65C)Maximum Exposure2:185F (85C) power off
TubeTracewith Self-Regulating HTSXTMPrimarily used for process temperature maintenance or freezeprotection where temperature exposure to steam purge is expected.Tube Temperature Range:40F (5C) to 250F (121C)Maximum Exposure2:400F (205C) power off
TubeTracewith Self-Regulating VSXTM
A high performance heat trace specifically for process temperaturemaintenance or freeze protection where high temperature exposureis a consideration.Tube Temperature Range:40F (5C) to 300F (149C)Maximum Intermittent Exposure2:450F (232C) power on
TubeTracewith Power-Limiting HPTTMA cut-to-length heat trace for higher temperature maintenance orfor multiple tube bundles requiring high heat loading. Also used forfreeze protection where high temperature exposure is a factor.Tube Temperature Range:40F (5C) to 400F (204C)Maximum Exposure2:500F (260C) power off

Note . . .
1. Standard products are approved for Division 2 and Zone 1 & Zone 2 hazardous (classified)areas. Division 1 approved designs are also available.
2. Reflects maximum exposure temperature of heater.
Small diameter lines are heated for many rea-sons including freeze protection (winterization),reduced viscosity, and keeping gas samplesabove their dew point. These can be critical for
process accuracy, emissions compliance, andeven plant operation.
Steam and electrically traced instrument tubingbundles represent lower installed costs andincreased reliability for flow, level and pressuretransmitters (as examples).

Sample Transport Bundles/Umbilicalsfor CEMS and Analyzer Service
Custom CEMS and Analyzer BundlesMost countries require industrial furnaces and boilers to have emissionsmonitoring systems to verify proper operation of pollution controls. Extractivegas analyzers require that the gas sample
be kept above its dew point to remaina vapor from the probe to the analyzer, sometimes significant distances. Similarly, process analyzer lines require heating tomeasure process gas streams above theirdew point.
Electrically Heated TubeTrace:
Approved for hazardous (classified)locations, including options for Class I,Division 1.
HPT power-limiting heat trace representsthe best choice for maintaining tempera-tures above 300F (149C) that can be "cut-to-length" in the field.
To accurately sense temperatures in multiple locations, consider factoryinstalled RTD, Thermocouple, or Thermistor temperature sensors.
Non-Heated ThermoTubeand "NI" Non-Insulated Bundlesalso available for analytical applications.
Tube Bundle options can also include:
Auxiliary conductors for probe heaters Un-heated tubes for blowback and calibration gas.
Special markings and identification, as required.

Controls and MonitoringTo accurately control temperatures for electrically heated tubing
applications, consider Thermons TC control and monitoringsystems. TC-systems are available with single-point or multi-circuit configurations and include ground leakage equipmentprotection, various alarm functions, and communicationscapabilities to host PC, PLC, and DCS systems.
Steam heated TubeTrace andThermoTube pre-insulated(non-heated) bundles also available
for analytical applications.
