Hey Key Clubbers! My name is Aneesh Pappu and I am a sophomore from Pullman High School located in Pullman, Washington. I am the incoming Lieutenant Governor for Division 56 and cannot express how excited I am to serve our division as the 2013-2014 Lieutenant Governor! When I first registered for Key Club as a freshman I considered Key Club as just a volunteering organization, but getting involved has taught me that it is so much more than that. To me, Key Club is one big family. A big family of enthusiastic people willing to help and serve whenever and wherever they are needed. My job as Lieutenant Governor is to connect all of the clubs in our division with the Pacific Northwest District as a whole. This means I get the opportunity to work with the clubs of Pullman, Moscow, Kamiah and Orofino. Right now I am working to collect contact information for officers and have already contacted representatives from each of the clubs. Due to the isolated nature of our division communication has always been a major problem for us. One of my major goals is to improve the communication between the clubs and the district as a whole. I cannot wait to visit each of your clubs and get to know you all! See you soon!

In caring & service,

Aneesh Pappu

Division 56 of the PNW consists of Pullman High School, Moscow High School, Kamiah High School and Orofino High School. We are one of the eastside divisions of the district and like to celebrate this fact with one of our slogans, “Eastside Beastside!”

Our Divisional Mascot is the Penguin. Although we are very spread out as a division we, like penguins, can come together in times of need to serve.

Our Divisional Colors are Blue and Yellow. Try to incorporate these colors in any future apparel your club designs!

Club Officers, Faculty Advisors and Kiwanis Advisors!

I need your e-mail address, phone number, home address, school address, meeting information (day, time, location), sponsoring Kiwanis club name, and their meeting information (day, time, location). This information is REQUIRED for the District Directory and Division 56 Contact Information sheet, and I need this information ASAP. My contact information can be found at the end of the newsletter. Thank you!

District Convention this year was absolutely amazing! The theme was “Diving Into Service” in order to hopefully dive deeper into the meaning of service. The weekend was packed with fun events and guest speakers, and took place at the Doubletree Hotel in Seattle, WA. With over 1600 Key Clubbers from around the PNW the weekend was a blast. Division 56 was represented at DCON by members from the Kamiah and Pullman Key Clubs. We had the most members we’ve ever had at DCON with a total of about 30 members! Hopefully we can increase this number next year to include even more of our fellow key clubbers in the fun! Make sure to really advertise District Convention at your club meetings next year and I hope to see more of you there!
