IntroductionIntroduction
• Cloud Computing makes computer infrastructure and services available "on-need" basis.
• Cloud Services include hard disk, development platform, database, computing power or complete software applications would be provided.
• End users need not to have large expenses to access them, as they go for “Pay Per Use” basis.
• For Example : “Owning a car, Rent a Car and Hire a Taxi.”

• Cloud Computing is an computing environment in which the user will use the preinstalled, preconfigured software, resources or Infrastructure.
• End users may choose their own preferable infrastructures, executing architectures, etc.,
• Payment will be done based on the usage of the services.

Types of ServicesTypes of Services
• Major Services– Software as a Service (SaaS)– Platform as a Service (PaaS)– Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
• Additional Services– Storage as a Service (STaaS)– Security as a Service (SeaaS)– Database as a Service (DBaas), Etc.,

Types of CloudTypes of Cloud
• There are three types of cloud basically:
• They are– Public Cloud– Private Cloud– Hybrid Cloud
Page 13
Public CloudPublic Cloud
Page 14
Public CloudPublic Cloud
• This type of cloud is normally used in the hosting environment and their locations.
• Even though it is hosted the data are encrypted and stored securely.
• Here the resources and applications are added and removed dynamically based on the usage.
• It is cheaper and more useful for small and medium scale industries.
• Eg: Google Apps, Amazon Web Service
Page 16
Private CloudPrivate Cloud
• The cloud is deployed with in a corporate firewall and runs on premise IT infrastructure.
• Private cloud is more expensive compared to the public cloud.
• The operating and bandwidth costs are to be maintained by the organization but this cloud is more secure than the public cloud.
• Private Cloud provides more benefits to the corporate by capitalizing on the Data Security and Corporate Governance.

Hybrid CloudHybrid Cloud
Page 18
Hybrid CloudHybrid Cloud
• Hybrid Cloud are increasingly being used by corporations where there is a need to maintain some of their applications.
• This type of environment where internal applications are deployed on private cloud.
• For normal usage while internet applications are deployed on the public cloud to handle variable loads.
Page 19
Financial Feasibility
• Avoid capital expenditure• Terminate Contract anytime.• Lower Entry Cost• Pay for only usage cost.
Page 20
Privacy
• Encrypt data at rest • Encrypt data in transit • Strong Authentication • Cryptography and more secure algorithms • Manage access right holder
Page 21
Applications
• Peer-to-peer / volunteer computing• Web application• On Demand Software as a Service• Higher end, Middle end and small scale
industries.• Storage Security.
Page 22
Implementation of Virtualization!!
• For Virtualization, I use VMWare Server.• It is an virtualization tool through online
supported by Tomcat Apache Server.• Requirements:
– VMWare Server– Internet Explorer– VMWare Plugin (Easily available in the
Internet)– Operating System Image(.vmx format)– Pentium IV System with Password Enabled.
