• Students bring their three favorite pieces of clothing to class.

• The goal is to learn about the cleaning and care of garments

• Analyze the garments to determine what they believe is the best way to clean the garment

• Are there any areas to be mended?• How would they wash the items?• How would they iron them?• What can they do to prolong the life of clothing?

• Dress shirts should have “2 finger” space in the collar –measure neck below adam’s apple

• Sleeves should reach 1” past wrist bone – measure from center back of collar to wrist bone + 1”

• Wear pants at the waist• Pants should break on top part of foot

• Goal: Choose clothes that look great, wear well, and fit properly for body type

• Discern your three best features and discuss how you would highlight those

• Analyze three pieces of favorite clothing for fit, wearability and flattery. Create a case for each piece – where to wear it, with what, when

• Put together ideal outfit according to body type• Make a list of trends that would and would not look

good on you
