Shan Missions Short-term Mission Trip Report December 6-13, 2009 By Rev. Dr. Sai Htwe Maung Clinic At Wan Hein & Christmas Outreach At Lak Taeng Primary School Wan Hein was another village about one-hour-drive from Lak Taeng. This village was very unfriendly to missionary and Christians. Some villagers burned down a small church in the village a year ago. The missionary and the believers had to move out to Muong Khue. We were given opportunity by our colleague missionary to open a medical clinic at this village for half-day session. Before we did clinical services to the villagers we first went to meet the chief of the village and paid a courtesy visit and discussed about the opening half-day clinic in the village for the villagers. The chief willingly agreed to allow us to have our clinic at Buddhist monastery. We did not only offer clinical services, we also organized the ladies to do handicraft on making necklace for themselves as souvenirs. We also took photograph of old people and children and printed out on paper for them to keep at home because some of them have never had a chance of seeing their own picture on paper.
