PRAYER TO THE BLESSED VIRGIN (Never known to fail)Oh, most beautiful flower of Mt. Carmel, fruitful vine splendor of Heaven. Blessed Mother of the Son of God. Immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity. Oh, Star of the Sea, help me and show me, herein you are my mother. Oh, Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth! I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to answer me in this necessity. There are none that can withstand your power. Oh, show me herein you are my mother. Oh, Mary con-ceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee (3x). Holy Mother, I place this cause in your hands (3x). Sweet Mother, I place this cause in your hands (3x). Holy Spirit, you who solve all problems, light all roads so that I can attain my goal, you who gave me the divine gift to forgive and forget all evil against me and that in all instances in my life you are with me. I want in this short prayer to thank you for all things as you confirm once again that I never want to be separated from you in eternal glory. Thank you for your mercy towards me and mine. The person must say this prayer 3 consecutive days, after 3 days the request will be granted. This prayer must be published after the favor is granted. Thank you for favor received K.L.

Rick Werblow has always loved music. After receiving his BA degree in music at Syracuse University, he spent more than thirteen years on the road performing as a full time musician. His talents include guitar, bass guitar, harmonica and piano. Rick earned his living entertaining at the ski resorts of Killington, VT to the Olympics in Lake Placid in the winter, and playing through the towns of Lake George, Albany and New York City in the summer. After the many years of traveling, Rick was ready to settle down and plant his roots. Rick worked at a local Hilton Music Store where he learned the ropes of the music business and shared his musical knowledge and talents with students there. He continued his musical performances on weekends. Then after four years, Rick had the opportunity to open his own music store. Rick opened Burnt Hills Music in June of 1991 and at the current location at 772 Route 50 (Dollar General Plaza), the store is now one of the leading suppliers of music band instruments in the area! A staff of ten talented musicians teaches up to 200 students a week on piano, drums, brass winds, woodwinds, strings and more. Burnt Hills Music also offers full repairs on most of the instruments they sell, rent and teach, as well as electronic repairs for amplifiers. For all your musical instrument needs and accessories, visit Burnt Hills Music. Rick’s business philosophy is “Treat others as you wish to be treated.” Those beliefs are certainly reflected with A+ rating given to his business by the Better Business Bureau. Rick shares his passion for music with his two daughters, Savannah Rose, 7, and Samantha Sue, 12.

Celebrating a Stepfather on Father’s Day This June, plans to celebrate Father’s Day may include celebrating a number of notable men in people’s lives. Those men can include stepfathers, many of whom step in after a divorce or the death of a parent and play a strong role in their stepchild’s life.
One million American children experience divorce every year. Roughly 65 percent of marriages today don’t go beyond 15 years of marriage. Of the marriages that end in divorce, statistics in-dicate that women often gain custody of the children and remarry within 5 years. A stepdad may become a part of a child’s life and blended families are often the norm.
Whether a man is the biological parent or a stepdad, he is often an important fi gure in a child’s life. Come Father’s Day, children may want to show their appreciation to the dad in their lives whether or not they share the same DNA or last name. Here are some things to keep in mind.* If both your biological dad and a stepfather are living and in your life, you will have to set aside time for both of them. Perhaps the morning can be devoted to one and the evening to another. Or maybe spend time with your stepfather on the Saturday prior to Father’s Day and spend time with Dad on Sunday.* Create a collage of images featuring you and your stepfather. Present it to him on Father’s Day and explain how he has helped shape the person you’ve become. * There are cards made specifi cally for stepfathers. If one doesn’t express the right sentiments, create a handwritten card that offers the right words.
* Children who have not had the coziest relationship with their stepfather should attempt to use this Father’s Day as an oppor-tunity to revisit that relation-ship and spend time together. It could mark a meaningful turning point for both people in the relationship.
* If your biological father and stepfather are friendly to one another, think about going out with both of them at the same time. Plan a special outing to a sporting event or something they both fi nd appealing.
* Stepfathers sometimes have to play second fi ddle and may not fi nd it easy to blend into an existing family. On Fa-ther’s Day, your stepfather should be able to call the shots and have his needs and interests met.
A father is a father to children whether he shares their genes or not. Father’s Day is often a time to celebrate all the un-sung heroes in a child’s life.

Day trips for Dad this Father’s Day Dads do a lot throughout the year, and Father’s Day is when they get their recogni-tion for all the helping hands they’ve offered in the last year. While it was once com-monplace to give Dad a neck-tie or another minor accessory for Father’s Day, many wives and children have begun to ensure Dad’s gift is a little more meaningful come his special day each June.
For those who want to think outside the box, how about you think outside the house as well? A day trip with Dad to a local attraction of note could be just what the doc-tor ordered to put a smile on Dad’s face this Father’s Day. The following ideas are just a few of the many day trips that Dad is sure to love this Father’s Day.
* Take Dad out to the ball game. If Dad is a fan of America’s pastime, take him out to the ball game for a day of fun in the sun watching his favorite team. If there isn’t a local Major League
team in the area, look for a minor league game in-stead. Minor league games are more intimate affairs, and Dad is sure to appreciate and cherish a day at the ballpark. Just don’t let Dad spend a dime all day!
* Hit the links. For the father who’s an avid golfer, nothing could be fi ner than a round of golf at his fa-vorite course. Spend the afternoon hitting the links with Dad and then buy him a meal at the 19th hole.
* Catch some fi sh. For the father who loves to fi sh, a day at his favorite fi shing hole could be a day of relaxation he’s sure to covet. Be sure to spend the day with Dad chatting about what’s been going on in his life and hopefully catch some fi sh along the way. And because there are no tickets to buy or greens fees to pay, give Dad that new fi shing pole he wants.
* Go on tour. For the Dad who loves his wine, perhaps a wine tour could make for a great weekend getaway. Book some rooms at a nearby hotel and tour a few lo-cal vineyards, ending the night with a delicious dinner and, of course, a bottle of wine.
* Rock out! For the father who still loves to crank up his stereo, consider some concert tickets to see one
of his favorite bands. Because Father’s Day falls during the warm weather season, consider an outdoor concert venue where everyone can sit under the stars and toast Dad as the music plays.
* Run for the hills. If Dad is an avid outdoorsman, a camping trip or a hike through a nearby park is an ideal way to spend some quality time together away from the pressures of everyday life. Dad may appreciate getting away from it all, and the fresh mountain air can’t be matched when it comes to some R&R.
An all-expenses paid afternoon at Dad’s fa-vorite golf course makes an ideal day trip getaway this Father’s Day.

Graduation Ceremony Ideas for Homeschooled Students All across the country students and parents choose to go the less-traditional educational route by participating in homeschooling. Even though students are not being educated in a formal school building, seniors who are about to graduate often desire traditional ceremonies to mark the end of their formative school years.
The U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences reports that there are be-tween 1.5 and 2 million homeschooled children. There are a number of reasons students and parents forgo a traditional school setting. Many cite preferences to receive religious or moral lessons in addition to secular coursework. Others are concerned about the school environment, such as safety or peer pressure. Some are dissatisfi ed with the academic institution.
Even if students are schooled at home, they must meet milestones and standards set by the particular school district or state. Once students have completed a set number of credits or coursework, they are eligible to “graduate” from high school. Homeschooled students may want a formal ceremony to mark the momentous occasion.
Depending on the homeschooling scenario, students can have individual ceremonies or be part of a group effort. Many students participate under an umbrella homeschooling association. This may be overseen by members of a church or other organization. All of the students who participate with this organization can graduate together. Parents and other educators can coor-dinate a ceremony to take place at a local auditorium.
Students who are homeschooled on an individual basis can invite friends and family to attend a small ceremony administered by the parent or educator who has been responsible for the student’s education. This can take place at home, a restaurant or another special locale. This ceremony can be as personalized as the student desires.
Homeschooled students can rent traditional caps and gowns if they choose to dress the part of a graduate for photos. There’s also the possibility of contacting the local school district and seeing if a homeschooled student can participate with that school for the commencement ceremony.
Parents and other educators who want to create personalized diplomas and other items for the homeschooled students can use Web sites like www.homeschooldiploma.com. They offer a number of customizable items from rings to certifi cates.
Students who have received a quality education while being homeschooled can participate in the traditional memory-makers, including a formal commencement ceremony. The intimate nature of the event can lead to a number of unique possibilities.
