PRAYER TO THEBLESSED VIRGIN(Never known to fail) Oh, most
beautiful flower of Mt. Carmel, fruitful vine splendor of Heaven.
Blessed Mother of the Son of God. Immaculate Virgin, assist me in
my necessity. Oh, Star of the Sea, help me and show me, herein you
are my mother. Oh, Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and
Earth! I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to answer
me in this necessity. There are none that can withstand your power.
Oh, show me herein you are my mother. Oh, Mary con- ceived without
sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee (3x). Holy Mother, I
place this cause in your hands (3x). Sweet Mother, I place this
cause in your hands (3x). Holy Spirit, you who solve all problems,
light all roads so that I can attain my goal, you who gave me the
divine gift to forgive and forget all evil against me and that in
all instances in my life you are with me. I want in this short
prayer to thank you for all things as you confirm once again that I
never want to be separated from you in eternal glory. Thank you for
your mercy towards me and mine. The person must say this prayer 3
consecutive days, after 3 days the request will be granted. This
prayer must be published after the favor is granted. R.M.R.

Falling In Love With ChocolateValentines Day and chocolate have
been linked for some time now, but there really hasnt been any
definitive explanation for just why the delicious confection and
the day of love seem to go hand in hand.
The average American eats 11 pounds of chocolate every year, a
significant percentage of which is enjoyed around Valentines Day.
The reason people are known to enjoy and crave chocolate may be
connected to its chemical components.
Chocolate has been known to affect mood in many ways. It
contains 380 known chemicals, triggering a host of responses in the
brain. Chocolate can trigger the production of opioids, which are
chemicals, such as those found in opium, that pro-duce a feeling of
well-being (euphoria). Eating chocolate then may make a person feel
better, which is why chocolate is often a turn-to comfort snack.
Chocolate also may work like THC, the chemical components in
marijuana, extending the feeling of being high or well-being.
Chocolate can also increase blood pressure and blood-sugar
levels, attributing to feelings of alertness. The caffeine in
chocolate also acts as a stimulant.
However, the reason chocolate may be snatched up come Valentines
Day is that chocolate appears to contain phenyl-alanine, the same
chemical that is produced by the brain when people fall in love.
Doctors think that eating chocolate creates a temporary love
high.
For those gifting chocolate for Valentines Day, consider dark
chocolate, which is also high in antioxidants. This chocolate is
among the healthier varieties in which to indulge.
Chemical components of chocolate could be the reason why it is
craved and enjoyed.

Did You Know? Love is a powerful word that describes one of the
most potent human emotions. The word is believed to have evolved
from the Proto-Indo-Europeans word leubh, which described care and
desire nearly five thousand years ago. The word was in-corporated
into Old English as lufu, a noun meaning deep affection and a verb
lufian meaning to be very fond of.

If using rotisserie basket, spray or brush lightly with
vegetable oil to prevent sticking. Place chicken wings on bottom of
basket, cover with the top part, and fasten on tightest setting to
se-cure the wings in place. Cooking grids will need to be removed,
and a drip pan placed beneath. If using rear rotisserie burner, set
to high. If using lower burners, set to medium. Place the basket on
spit and in the rotisserie and start the motor. Cook until golden
brown and crisp, about 45 minutes to an hour.
If cooking directly on well oiled cooking grids, turn heat to
low, and cook, turning frequently until golden brown and crisp, 30
- 45 minutes. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure that all
wings are cooked through and ready to eat.
Stir together all the dip ingredients. May be made ahead of time
and chilled until ready to serve with chicken wings, celery and
carrots.

4 Year Old Female, Brown/BlackHello, Im Matilda, a beautiful
lady with long tiger fur, and a white bib and white feet. Im all
grown up, just quite petite. Not long ago I was trying to make a go
of it on the streets of
Troy. Not a nice place to be in winter! It was pretty tough out
there, and I have several broken canines to show for it.
I am a friendly puss and I enjoy being petted. Being picked up
does make me nervous. A forever home is what I need
now, so come on in and see if Im the one for you.
Mookie Domestic Short Hair Mix11 Year Old Male, Black
Hello, Im Mookie, a black gentlecat of a certain age. Well, at
first I appear black, but if you look carefully you will see that I
have a lot of single white hairs everywhere. I am a large fellow
who loves to cuddle on laps. Im so friendly and affectionate. My
elderly owner ran into financial difficulties
and could not keep me any longer. Im no spring chicken myself,
but I am such a sweetheart. It would be a good idea
to take me to your vet and work out a weight loss diet. Losing a
bit would be much healthier for me. Come on in and see what a fine
fellow I am.

make someone elses life better. You can have a chance to start the
New Year off by giving a little of your time as a Care Links
volunteer. This program helps anyone 60+ with services that help
them stay in their homes. Transportation, visiting, re-spite,
shopping and chores are some of the non-medical services provided
residents in Clifton Park, Halfmoon, Malta and Mechanicville. If
you are interested in learn-ing more about what being a volunteer
entails or to request services, call 399-3262. (A)

Convenience Carts Now Available at LibraryCLIFTON PARK The
Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library now has convenience carts for
patrons, due to a thoughtful ges-ture by Kathy Kohler. She wanted
to remember a dear friend who was an avid reader and library user
who recently passed away from bone cancer. This friend had to use a
cane but want-ed to make her trips productive and would take many
items to tide herself over until her next visit. It was getting
difficult to juggle all the materials and stay steady on her feet.
Kohler felt there must be others in this situation and made a
donation to the Library in Carol Raphaels name to purchase one
cart. The Friends of the Library liked the idea so much they
purchased three more. The carts can be found just beyond the
Welcome Desk on the way to the Returns window. (A)
