I have always had a camera in my hand, since I can remember. I have over 10 years of photography expereince & creativity, only about 2 years ago I decided to take the leap and do it professionally.

MATERNITY PORTRAIT SESSIONS

Pregnancy is a time of excitement and I understand that you want to capture the anticipation of one of the most unforgettable moments of your life. While maternity photography can seem intimidating to some women, I am dedicated to capturing genuine smiles in your maternity photos and to making expectant mothers feel and look beautiful.

You will recieve up to 20 high resolution edited & retouched imagesin a online gallery that you can share with family, friends & in a online gallery that you can share with family, friends & even order professional prints!!

What to wear

MATERNITY SESSIONS

When to book30 to 32 weeks is perfect for most moms to be. This is a time frame where your beautiful belly is of ample size yet you’re not as “puffy” and uncomfortable as you may be in your last 4 to 6 weeks. Though I have shot maternity sessions up close to delivery with beautiful results, feedback from expecting moms has encouraged me to advise clients towards the earlier side where mamas-to-be are feeling their best and are more comfortable than they may be later.and are more comfortable than they may be later.

The clothes that you wear during your session will play a vital role in how you feel during the shoot and about your photographs. We really want to show off your beautiful form, so choose a few outfits that accentuate your beautiful body! I love form fitting tops with chunky sweaters or long flowing dresses. You can choose your favorite maternity outfit but solid colors work best. As far as specific colors, it is completely up to you. Personally, I LOVE pastels and whites to create more vintage inspired images. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable, confident and beautiful!

Som e tipsI would suggest pampering yourself before your session. Get your hair and nails done or take a relaxing bubble bath. Put aside a few hours for yourself to just relax and feel fabulous. The best photographs are created when expectant mothers are relaxed, feel confident and are able to just be themselves during the session. Don’t forget that this should be a special and fun day for you.

BIRTH PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONSBirth photography is a very special way to document and capture this special time for

your growing family. It frees up Dad and allows the birthing team to be there to fully assist Mom .

. A baby is only born once. You only get one chance at capturing those moments; the first breath, the first cry, the first gaze at mom, the first from siblings, the first bath, etc.

You deserve to celebrate this time and make this a truly and remarkably wonderful experience you shall NEVER forget… and if you do forget, don’t worry, you got it captured!

I meet all of my clients for an in-person consultation. At this consultation, we start to get to know one another a little. This is an opportunity for you to ask me any questions or voice any concerns you may still have. We’ll go over your birth plan and my client questionnaire, and eventually, we’ll go through a contract as well.

I will be on call 24/7 the week before and after your due date.

Photography coverage from active labor (about 6 - 7cm dilated) through up to two hours after delivery to capture many of your baby's firsts. I generally strive to be like a cat in the room: present, but not intrusive.

I’m not usually an active participant in the birth – while I do hope to contribute to the caring, supportive energy surrounding the laboring family, and I will step in and offer to help if needed.

Instead, I’m there to document what unfolds, as it unfolds, in as unobtrusive as a way as possible.

Within the next couple days I will begin to go through all the images from your session. NEWBORN PORTRAIT SESSIONS

Newborn sessions are best shot when baby is under 2 weeks old. These sessions typically last 2-3 hours, and sometimes up to 4. Newborn sessions include traditional sleeping newborn poses,

family shots and sibling shots (if desired).

During your session

Before your session

Babies are best photographed within the first 5-10 days of life as they are still very sleepy, can be easily posed, baby acne hasn't appeared yet and any signs of jaundice have faded as well. Be sure to contact me as soon as possible to book your session.

When we have scheduled your session we can then talk about what you expect out of it.Let me know before hand if there are certain poses you want me to try with baby or special props that you will be bringing from home. Any props that have meaning to you will make the photos that much more special.

NEWBORN SESSIONS

When you arrive at my home my studio is located on the 2nd floor . Please take your time comingup the stairs. There is no rush and the last thing I’d want is you to tire or even hurt yourself. You’re more then welcome to relax in my livingroom and have something to drink. Sit back and relax. :)

Newborns love to be warm, and since they will be partially naked for the majority of their session I run a small heater in my studio and try to keep the space at around 80 degrees. I also run a white noisesound on my phone to help keep baby calm

I use a ottoman and bskets for posed shots of baby, several backdrop blankets, hats and bows and I use a ottoman and bskets for posed shots of baby, several backdrop blankets, hats and bows and other props for baby to be photographed with. I use an ottoman since it is more stable and sturdy then a typical beanbag (which most nb photographers use). I also use weighted positioners that help pose babyas well as give an added safety when used in baskets.

I like to start off the session with posing baby on the beanbag using a variety of backdrops . After that we can move on to family shots and other posed shots.

After your session

Within the next couple days I will begin to go through all the images from your session. I will only select the best of the best to edit, retouch and share. Depending on how the session went the number of images can vary from 10 to 30.
