Salomon DR and Pickard TJ: Transplantation Clinic Medical Record.Description - We designed, programmed and implemented a PC-based, networked, graphical user interface and data base for the Kidney and Heart Transplant Programs at the University of Florida including direct data linking to the clinical laboratory computer base. This program was in use for the daily management of over 1000 transplant patients from 1989 to 1994 when the program exceeded its original data allocation limits. Note that I left the Institution in 1990. Presented as an exhibit booth by the invitation of the American College of Cardiology, National Meeting, Atlanta, GA, March, 1989.

2. Salomon DR and Shaw M: a) Computer-Videodisc interactive case management study in transplantation; b) Computer animation of the immune response and mechanisms of immunosuppressants. Description - This project was funded by Sandoz Pharmaceuticals and used to train nephrologists and fellows. A videotape of the animation was distributed to US medical school libraries. Health Sciences Media, Atlanta, GA,1990.

3. American Society of Transplant Physicians and American Society of Transplant Surgeons: CenterSpan Project. (Executive Board, Treasurer). Description - We received a $1 million dollar unrestricted educational grant from Hoffman-La Roche to the two Societies. Our objective was to create and manage an integrated Internet project aimed at providing on-line educational opportunities as well as professional discussion groups and clinical research resources for the memberships of the two Societies. 1996-1998

4. Salomon DR and Merion R: CenterSpanL. American Society of Transplant Surgeons.Description – We initiated and co-moderate an internet listserv for transplantation professionals. This has participants from over 50 countries and over 800 members. 1998-present.
