of time answering them, talking about real estate, effectively covering off on these very questions and in some cases concerns.
However, instead of sharing some of the opinion and or conjecture, or subscribing to some of the hype that is out there, we would prefer to share the facts, the truth of the situation.
Fact - Brisbane’s, and that includes us here, level of capital growth remains one of the most stable and most consistent across the capital cities within Australia and has been so since 2011.
Fact - Annual capital growth rates in Brisbane typically hover in the 3-4% range which is confirmed by the Ten Year capital growth rate in Brisbane being 3.7% for houses, 3.4% for units or 3.6% combined.
Stable and consistent.
If nothing else, the Brisbane market is one that is less dominated by the speculation that exists in some southern markets. and the conversations we are having indicate that for the significant majority, people buy and sell because they want or need to move. In this area,
and Shailer Park is a good example, as around 79% of all homes are owner occupied.

Home ownership levels are very strong in Shailer Park with just under 79% of all dwellings owned outright or owned with a mortgage. The balance of the marketplace is rented. The majority of homes are of a good size with almost 58% having 4 or more bedrooms.
The average number of people per household is 3 and the average number of children per family is 1.9. There are slightly more female (50.3%) residents than males living in the area
and the predominant age group is 50-54 year olds and with just over 8% of the total local population.
Most residents of the suburb were born in Australia (69%) with New Zealand and England coming in at number 2 & 3 respectively. The median weekly income per household is $1,768 and $1,881 for family households and the majority of us drive, or are driven, to work (73%).
