An Ellipse IPL skin rejuvenation treatment is a noninvasive treatment used to erase skin damage

The Ellipse IPL system works by directing controlled pulses of light into the upper skin layer. The

light is absorbed by two of the body’s own natural chemicals – melanin in the pigmented

A thread vein is a small blood vessel near the surface of the skin. The Ellipse IPL system directs

visible light to the blood vessels needing treatment. Blood contains hemoglobin that absorbs the

light and converts it into heat. This heat destroys the protein in the wall of the thread vein. As a

result the vein will gradually and safely disappear after treatment.

Acne occurs when sebum is unable to leave the skin because a hair follicle is blocked. This may

result in growth of bacteria below the surface of the skin. Inflammation can occur and the rupture

SPORTS MASSAGE & THERAPY (60 mins/£75.00 or 30 mins/£45.00)

Sports massage is designed to assist in correcting problems and imbalances in soft tissue that

are caused from repetitive and strenuous physical activity and trauma. The application of sports

massage, prior to and after exercise, may enhance performance, aid recovery and prevent

injury. Sports therapy takes sports massage one step further, and utilises other tools to help

deal with injured athletes through to dealing with many common muscular complaints such as

back pain, mobility problems, postural problems and work related conditions. We can then

provide advice on the prevention of injuries and can examine, assess and treat those that do

occur, as well as helping with the rehabilitation process. There are 4 types of sports massages:

Preevent sports massage: a short, stimulating massage 15 45 minutes before the event.

It is directed toward the parts of the body that will be involved in the exertion.

Postevent sports massage: given within an hour or two of the event, to normalize the body's

tissues.

Restorative sports massage: given during training to allow the athelete to train harder and

with less injury.

Rehabilitative sports massage: aimed at alleviating pain due to injury and returning the body

to health.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE (60 mins/£75.00 or 30 mins/£45.00)

Deep tissue massage focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It

is especially helpful for chronic aches and pains and contracted areas such as stiff neck and

upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders. Some of the same strokes

are used as classic massage therapy, but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper

and concentrated on areas of tension and pain in order to reach the sublayer of muscles and

the connective tissue surrounding muscles.

SWEDISH MASSAGE (60 mins/£75.00 or 30 mins/£45.00)

Swedish massage combines various handson techniques including gliding, kneading, and

crossfiber friction to break up muscle knots. Swedish massage is based on the Western

concepts of anatomy and physiology as opposed to energy work. It can be slow and gentle,

or vigorous and bracing, depending on what needs to be achieved.

FULL BODY MASSAGE (60 mins/£65.00)

The full body massage has been designed to release tension held in every part of your body,

leaving you feeling deeply relaxed and recharged. Carefully applied pressure will stimulate the

nervous system, with Swedish and neuromuscular techniques relieving muscular tension and

lymphatic drainage helping to encourage a healthy circulation and the release of toxins.

Stresses and strains will just dissolve away. Prior to your treatment your therapist will carry out

a consultation to determine which oils should be used for your particular massage.

BACK, NECK & SHOULDER MASSAGE (30 mins/£38.00)

This massage is designed to target tension stored in the back, neck and shoulders. Carefully

applied pressure will stimulate the nervous system, with Swedish and neuromuscular techniques

relieving muscular tension and lymphatic drainage helping to encourage a healthy circulation

and the release of toxins. Prior to your treatment we will carry out a consultation to determine

which oils should be used for your particular massage.

HOT STONE FULL BODY MASSAGE (60 mins/£65.00)

Hot stone massage is a deeply relaxing, holistic massage treatment designed to soothe tired,

aching muscles, ease tension, stimulate the lymphatic system, release toxins and bring about a

sense of calm and well being. A therapeutic hot stone massage treatment may help with a

number of conditions but is especially good for insomnia and poor circulation.

REFLEXOLOGY (60 mins/£65.00)

Reflexology is a complementary therapy based on the belief that there are reflex areas in the

feet and hands which correspond to all organs and parts of the body. By stimulating these points,

the body rebalances itself by encouraging it to release it's own natural healing properties.

Reflexology works on an individual basis and may alleviate and improve symptoms such as

everyday stress, sleep deprivation and tension, bringing a greater sense of well being.

IPL HAIR REMOVAL

At Clay Spa we have the stateoftheart Ellipse Sirius an Intense Pulse Light therapy based

treatment that drastically reduces unwanted hair. To achieve long lasting hair removal, it is

necessary to destroy the hair follicle from which individual hairs grow. Controlled pulses of light

penetrate the epidermis and are absorbed by melanin in the hair contained in the follicle. Melanin

converts the light energy into heat. This heat is transferred to the hair follicle, which is destroyed,

making it unable to produce a new hair. The Ellipse Sirius IPL hair removal system is suitable

for all body areas. This treatment offers painless hair reduction delivering smooth skin for both

A blend of rich comforting creams and essential oils are gently smoothed over the body and then

gently wrapped allowing the warmth to penetrate the skin nourishing both body and soul, and at

the same time lightly exfoliating and elasticising your skin.

MOTHERTOBE NURTURING MASSAGE (60 mins/£65.00)

This specially designed massage for mothers tobe involves the gentle manipulation of the

spine and employing foot reflex sequences in order to relieve the tension, stress and strain

associated with pregnancy.

MOTHERTOBE FOOT & LEG REFRESHMENT TREATMENT (60 mins/£75.00)

A cooling foot bath, followed by gentle exfoliation and a hydrating foot and leg wrap

This nourishing treatment combining Rosehip Seed and Argan oil infused with extracts of

Lavender, Geranium and Rose to bring peace and harmony to mother and baby. Himalayan

herb poultices are gently massaged into Marma and Meridian points to relieve aches and pains.

With this in mind our wedding day package commences with the famous bee venom facial from

the Heaven Skincare Range. This is the very same facial treatment favoured by Kate Middleton,

and credited with giving her the glowing, flawless complexion revealed on her own wedding

day. During the bee venom facial you will also receive a gentle reflexology style massage on

your hands and feet and that all important neck and shoulder area.

The second phase of this amazing package is an all over back massage specifically designed

to target the nervous system and with gently applied spinal pressure ease away any nervous

tension and aches which may be stored in the back. All you have to do is lay back, relax and

carried out at Clay Spa. Please contact us for specific details prior to booking a treatment

for anyone under the age of 18. Treatments carried out on anyone under the age of 18

must have written parent/guardian consent. The parent/guardian must also sign

any consultation documents on behalf of the child.

SMOKING & PETS: Smoking is not permitted on the Clay Spa premises. Unfortunately,

neither are pets, unless they are to assist hearing or visually impaired clients.

CANCELLATIONS: We respectfully request that 24 hours' notice be given prior to

cancellation of any appointments otherwise the full cost of the treatment will be charged.
