ORDER:
The Government in their reference first read above had constituted a fund called, "TamilNadu Government Employees Health Fund" to provide a measure of relief to GovernmentEmployees, if they are affected by major ailments. Accordingly, the Government in theirreferences first to fourth read above had issued or1ers approving certain specialised advancedsurgeries / treatment and in their references fifth to eleventh read above had issued ordersapproving certain private hospitals from where Government employees can undergo thespecia1isedadvanced surgeries / treatment and avail medical assistance under this schme. .

2. Of late, certain management of the private hospitals had requested the Government toinclude them in the approved list so as to enable the Government employees and their familymembers to undergo specialised advanced surgeries / treatment if they are affected by majorailments. As there were no uniform norms prescribed for inclusion of private hospitals in the listof approved hospitals, the Government in their reference twelveth read above had issued ordersprescribing certain norms for streamlining the system of approving the private hospitals basedon their specialisation in the specified diseases under the Tamil Nadu Government EmployeesHealth Fund Scheme.
3. Accordingly, Director of Medical Education / Director of Medical and Rural HealthServices have inspected the private hospitals who had applied for accreditation. The Director ofMedical Education / Director of Medical and Rural Health Services after inspecting the privatehospitals concerned have submitted their reports to Government with their recommendations toinclude them in the accredited list.
4. The Government, after careful examination on the recommendations of the Director of
Medical Education / Director of Medic,aland Rural Health Services,pass the following orders:-
I) the specialised advanced surgery/ treatment which were approved earlier are nowclassified under the broad based groups as indicated in the Annexure I to thisorder. .
2) the private hospitals which were accredited already in the references fifth toeleventh read above have ceased-tobe in the approved list forthwith.
3) the revised accredited list of hospitals and the specialisation for which thehospitals are approved is indicated in the Annexure II to this order.
5. There shall be no change in other existing rules and conditions.
6. The sanctioning authorities empowered to sanction financial assistance under thisscheme are requested to indicate the classifications of the diseases in their proceedings/ordersscrupulously.
