Summer Camp Come have your child join in the fun this summer by participating in the ever popular Summer Recreation Program. Our goal at Summer Camp is to provide entertainment to your children for a couple of hours having FUN in a supervised, safe environment. After all, that’s what summer and being a kid is all about. The enrollment is open to all Clark children entering 2nd year Pre-K (4 yrs old) in September through the 7th grade, meaning boys and girls entering Grade 8 in September 2015. CAMP INFORMATION • Begins Monday, July 7th • Ends Thursday, August 14th • Starts each day at 9:00 AM and ends 12:00 PM sharp • Monday thru Thursday Drop off is in the parking lot of the Rec Center. Younger children must be walked in by the parent. Police are on site 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM Monday thru Thursday to help with the increased traffic flow. COST $35 for the entire 6 weeks. REQUIRED: • Sneakers only (no sandals, crocs or flip flops) • Long hair MUST be in a ponytail • Lightweight clothing • No iPods, books, toys or trinkets • No jewelry • Disposable snack in a paper bag (Please no snacks that have peanuts or tree nuts of any kind) • No glass bottles • No lunch boxes • If your child has a cell phone, it must be turned off until they leave camp. We strongly urge you to place the phone in a plastic baggy on Thursdays during water day • Thursday’s are water days. Children should come in their bathing suit and bring a non- favorite towel. Wearing sunscreen and water shoes are recommended. If you would like to donate water, juice packs, cups, snacks, cookies, candy to the camp we would be most appreciative. DAILY ACTIVITIESThecampoffersavarietyof wellmanagedand organized activities according to grade level. There is something new everyday tokeeptheinterestandexcitementof thecamp. You will be given a weekly calendar of events so you and your child will know whattoexpectonthatday.
Arts and Crafts take place everyday with a variety of new tasks daily depending on the age group your child.
Sport Activities also take place everyday with a variety of sports to choose from. Excessiveheatwillbetakenintoconsid-eration when the sport is selected for that day. We are lucky to have a completely air conditioned facility. All sport activity will be age appropriate and can incorporate differentagegroupscompetingagainsteachother;howeverthisisdoneONLYinthe older groups with the focus on FUN, not winning.
Special Events are introduced almost every day. Special shows, attractions and eventsarebroughtintocreateexcitementand entertainment, plus learning from the experienceaswell.
SAFETYAttendance is taken daily and each head-countisrecorded.Latearrivalsandearlydismissals must be signed by the parent.

Registrationformsareallkeptonfileinthe event of an emergency. We are pre-pared for bumps, bruises, and bee stings; howevertheparentwillbenotifiedimme-diately if something more serious takes place with your child. Please inform us about any unique circumstances pertain-ing to your child.
If yourchildhasaproblemgettingalongwith others or gets bored easily, please do not sign him or her up. Also – if your child has absolutely no interest in the camp please do not force them to attend as they become a disruption to the other campers.
Your child will be entertained and hope-fully have a good time each day at camp. We will do our best to make it a memora-bleexperience.Wehaveazerotolerancepolicy for bullying and understand fully the consequences of such action. This is heavily enforced by our supervisors and counselors. Cursing, hitting, biting, name calling or any other general lack of respect will result in a phone call to the parent and immediate dismissal.
SUPERVISION AT CAMPThere are 6 adult supervisors, 1 Recre-ation Director and over 100 high school/college counselors on the premises every day.Eachpersonhasasetfunctionandresponsibility assigned to make sure all parameters of the program are being met and handled appropriately.
Campers are put into groups by grade. The counselors are divided equally among the campers with an average of 8-10 coun-selors per group (depending on group size). Ratio for Pre-K is greater. Counselors have beeninstructedtomakeanhonesteffortto motivate each child and promote team spirit each and every day to ensure a posi-tivefuncampexperience.Thestaffwishesto give each child within their group the besttimetheycanhaveinthesixweeksthat they are together.
