With over 1200 guests in attendance, this meeting brought together Jewish professional and lay leaders from all over the Chicagoland area to celebrate all that the Federation has accomplished this past year. A highlight of the event was the opportunity to hear from distinguished speaker, Dr. Deborah E. Lipstadt.

CJHS Delegation Attends Annual Meeting
On Thursday, 26 juniors and seniors from CJHS attended the 115thJewish Federation Annual Meeting at the Hyatt Regency Hoteldowntown. With over 1200 guests in attendance, this meetingbrought together Jewish professional and lay leaders from all overthe Chicagoland area to celebrate all that the Federation hasaccomplished this past year. A highlight of the event was theopportunity to hear from distinguished speaker, Dr. Deborah E.Lipstadt.
For too many in the Chicagolandarea, fasting is not a religiouschoice but a matter of necessity--and it occurs on many days otherthan Yom Kippur. Please join CJHSin contributing to the ARK HighHoliday Food Drive! We arecollecting food and other household items to help support ourneighbors in need. Each student received a donation bag in his orher box, and more are available in Mr. Eskin's office on the firstfloor. Let's see how much we can give together!

Bible Class Takes the StageNever be bored during the haftorah again! Students in Ms. Nadis’
freshman Tanach class are staging dramatic reenactments of the first two
perakim of Shmuel Aleph. Last week they analyzed the story of Chana
and Penina that we read about on Rosh Hashanah; stay tuned for the
scandal sheets this week as renegade kohanim Chofni and Pinchas hit the stage!

Breaking news! Decorated CJHS chemistry teacher Mrs. Ann Levinson and her student Felix Rosenhave been published in the American Association of Chemistry Teachers magazine ChemistrySolutions, presenting a new lab procedure developed by Felix to eliminate error in the common
