Effluent Reuse Utility• Reuse of a limited natural resource

– Extends limited water resources & supply– Reduction in demands on potable water systems resulting

in decreased need for capacity improvements

• Drought proof irrigation supply– Sparks/Reno beneficial component plant flow (6,700 af)– Surface water rights in normal and high flow years

• An option to reduce nutrient loading to the Truckee River and Pyramid Lake– TMWRF and Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs)
