This public hearing will be held pursuant to Section 58.1-3007 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended - A public hearing has been scheduled to consider the

proposed increase.

a. Deed of Release – Vest & Wright, Inc. - Approval of the deed releasing the county’s repurchase option is recommended. The property is being marketed privately by

b. Hiring of Animal Shelter Architect – I recommend hiring of Reynolds

Architects, working in conjunction with the Bacon Group, for the purpose of designing an animal shelter either individually or in conjunction with Giles County. Specific authorization at this time would be to

provide a preliminary design of a joint facility at a cost of up to $25,000. If

the Board desires, development of final plans and specifications could be withheld until specifically authorized by the Board.
