• A&M-Corpus Christi is led offensively by a three-headed attack of Rashawn Thomas (15.6 points per game), John Jor-dan (15.5) and Brandon Pye (10.0).
• Jordan is the only active player in the nation with at least 1,500 points, 500 rebounds and 500 assists in his career. The senior was named to the Southland All-Conference First Team, while Thomas was tabbed to the Second Team.
• The Islanders are the only Southland Conference team in the last two years to defeat Stephen F. Austin, a feat they pulled off with a 71-63 victory on Feb. 14. That is the only loss SFA (29-4 and a 12 seed in the NCAA Tournament) has suffered since November when it lost to NCAA Tournament participants Northern Iowa (79-77, OT), Xavier and Baylor in consecutive outings.
• In its regular-season finale, the Islanders held Abilene Christian to just 27 points in a 58-27 victory. The 27 points are the third-fewest allowed by any D-I team this year, trail-ing only Louisville (26 vs. Savannah State) and Virginia (26 vs. Rutgers).
In its last nine games, A&M-Corpus Christi is allowing its opponents to score just 57.8 points per game. Additionally, those oppo-nents have shot just 35.2 percent from the floor and 26.5 percent from the 3-point line, with only one team reaching 40 percent from the field overall.
Most Wins In FLA.23

Two A-Sun members (North Florida, 23, and FGCU, 22) own the most victories among D-I teams in the state of Florida.
FGCU, USC Upstate and North Florida all have 20+ wins this year, giving the A-Sun three 20-win teams for just the third time in the last 11 seasons. Additionally, with a win from FGCU Wednesday night, the A-Sun will have three teams with at least 23 victories in the same season for the first time in conference history (dates back to 1978-79).

2014-15
FGCU has tied a single-season program re-cord (2012-13 Sweet Sixteen team) by hold-ing 13 opponents to 60 points or less.
The Islanders have been a D-I member since 1999-00. A&M-Corpus Christi is 1-1 all-time against teams currently in the A-Sun, with both of those decisions coming against Lipscomb.

overallDespite only becoming Division-I postseason eligible for the 2011-12 season, FGCU has already claimed an impressive 10 wins in the postseason.
NCAA 2-1 A-SUN 8-3FGCU won the program’s first A-Sun regular-season champi-onship in 2014 courtesy of a 14-4 league mark. The Eagles received a No. 8 seed in the NIT and traveled to No. 1 Florida State, falling just short (58-53) to the eventual NIT semifinalists.
FGCU became the first school in NCAA history to reach the Sweet Sixteen as a No. 15 seed in 2013 when the Eagles de-feated No. 2 George-town and No. 7 San Diego State en route to captivating the na-tion and earning the #DunkCity moniker. The Green and Blue lost to No. 3 Florida in the next round, 62-50.
FGCU is the only school in D-I history to reach the cham-pionship game of its conference tour-nament in each of its first three sea-sons of eligibility. The Eagles went 2-1 in 2012 (lost to Bel-mont), 3-0 in 2013 (defeated Mercer) and 2-1 in 2014 (lost to Mercer). FGCU went 1-1 this year.
Meanwhile, FGCU has relied on its defense all year as the Eagles rank fifth in the nation in 3-point percentage, limiting opponents to just 28.2 percent. FGCU leads the Atlantic Sun Conference and ranks 27th nationally by holding foes to only 39.2 percent from the field for the year.

For the second-consecutive year FGCU was selected by ESPN for in-clusion in the worldwide leader’s Midnight Madness coverage when the Eagles hosted Dunk City After Dark on Oct. 17. With that honor, FGCU joined only four other ex-tremely tradition-rich programs which can boast that claim: Kan-sas, Kentucky, Syracuse and UConn.
FGCU is statistically better in every key area at home than on the road, with the lone somewhat surprising exception being free-throw shooting. The Eagles connect at 67.2 percent (199-296) at home and 67.6 percent (140-207) on the road.

FGCU completed a challenging non-conference schedule in which it defeated four 20-win opponents from a season ago (UC Santa Barbara, Ohio, San Francisco, Massachusetts) and another (South Dakota State) which won 19 contests. FGCU went 3-5 against top-90 RPI teams this year, with wins over Massachusetts (81), UCSB (87) and SDSU (90). Af-ter getting off to 8-1 and 9-2 starts, FGCU lost four of its fi-nal five games in the 16-game non-league docket. However, due to injuries and suspensions, the Eagles only had a full roster for four non-conference games (SDSU, Florida Tech, UMass, FIU). FGCU’s current RPI of 135 is still by far the best in the A-Sun, with UNF (162) being the next-closest team.

POINTS IN THE PAINTDating back to the 2011-12 season, FGCU has won 29 consecutive games when out-scoring its opponents in the paint by at least 15 points. Fueled by their high-flying Dunk City attack, the Eagles were 12-0 when holding at least a +15 margin in the paint in 2012-13, 11-0 in 2013-14 and 4-0 so far this year. FGCU won two such games in 2011-12, with the last loss coming on Nov. 25, 2011, at Maryland (73-67) de-spite the Eagles out-scoring the then-ACC member in the paint by 16 points, 42-26.
29-0FGCU finished this sea-son with a .786 win-ning percentage (11-3) in A-Sun games, setting a program sin-gle-season record. It surpassed last year’s .778 A-Sun winning per-centage (14-4 record).
FGCU has sold out 22 of its last 32 games, and through 16 home games this year, FGCU has totaled 69,303 fans for an average of 4,331 (capacity: 4,333 + 300 standing-room only tickets). That’s 33 percent of the A-Sun’s total home attendance (eight teams) of 210,014.
.786
FGCU posted six standing-room-only sellouts (4,633) last year, including a re-cord 4,702 fans for the Atlantic Sun Con-ference Final against Mercer. FGCU had 13 sellouts (at least 4,333 - which does not count the 300 standing-room only tickets) in 2013-14, and the only time that occurred before last year was once - against Miami (4,552) in 2012-13. FGCU has had 14 home crowds (in 16 games) of more than 4,000 people already this year, in-cluding nine sellouts.
1OF5FGCU was one of only five schools in the nation last year to increase its attendance by more than 2,000 fans per
Brett Comer recorded 21 points, 12 assists (no turnovers) and eight rebounds against Stetson (Feb. 7), falling just short of the program’s first-ever triple-double. However, the 20-point, 10-assist double-double was only the third in pro-gram history, and Comer is now responsible for two of them which occurred this year. The senior also posted 28 points and 11 assists versus UC Santa Barbara on Nov. 17.
The only other such double-double was during the 2004-05 season when Bryan Crislip scored 20 points and issued 11 assists opposite Arkan-sas Tech – the alma mater of current assistant coach Jamill Jones ’08.

The current single-season record for scoring defense is 64.4 points per game in 2002-03 (program’s first season), and the best single-season D-I record is 66.7 points per game during the Sweet 16 season of 2012-13.
