PhonesTab

MyPhonesOnceyouhaveloggedintotheSelfCarePortal,thescreenbelowwillappear,butwithyournameandthetypeofphoneyouuse.FortheexamplebelowunderMyPhones,showsasoftware-basedphone(Jabber)andadeskphoneassignedtothisuser.Ifyouhavemorethanonephonenumberonyourdeskphone,itwillshowuphereasseparatephones.

AdditionalPhones

SingleNumberReachAdditionalPhonesiswhereyousetuptheabilitytoansweryourworkphoneonanotherdevice,suchasacellphone.ThisfeatureiscalledSingleNumberReach.Youmayalsoknowthisasdualring.

EnableMovetoMobile(LiveTransfer)AnotherfeatureyoucanturnonunderAdditionalPhonesiscalledEnableMovetoMobileorlivetransfer.Thisallowsyoutobeonacallonyourdeskphoneandtransferthelivecalltoanotherdevicesuchasyourcellphoneandcontinuetheconversationasyouleaveyouroffice.Thistransferistransparenttothecaller.Youcantransferacallfromyouralternativedevice(cellphone)backtoyourdeskphone.However,onthereturnfromyourcellphonetoyourworkphone,thecallerisplacedonhold–theyhearonholdmusic.Whenyoupickupyourofficephone,youwillbeconnectedagain.Note:Transferbacktodeskphonefrommobilephonecanonlybedoneifthephonecallwasoriginallytransferredfromthedeskphonetothemobilephone.Itdoesnotworkifthecalloriginatedonthecellphone.

HOWTO:ConfiguringSingleNumberReachandEnableMovetoMobileSelectonPhonesatthetopleft.ThenselectMyPhonesifnotalreadyselected.Inthemainwindow,youshouldseethefollowingundertheheading:AdditionalPhones.Clickontheplus(+)sign.

EnteraphonenumberinthePhoneNumberfield.EnteringaDescriptionisoptional.Clickinthecheckboxnextthefeature(s)youwanttoenable.

EnableSingleNumberReachWhenyouclickontheCheckBoxnexttoEnableSingleNumberReach,thewindowwillexpand.Thisdemonstrateswhenanincomingcallreachesyourworkphone;itwillalsoringonyourotherdevice.However,itmayringonceortwiceonyourdeskphonebeforeitbeginsringingonyoursecondarydevice.

SelectontheboxnexttoCreateascheduleforthisassignmenttosetaschedulewhenincomingcallswillringonthesecondarydevice.Makeyourchoices,andthenclickSaveatthebottom.

NOTE:SingleNumberReachallowsyoutoanswerincomingcallstoyourdistrictprovidedphonenumber.Ifyouanswerthecallonthealternatedevice,thecallerwon’tknow,unlessyouhaveadeskphoneandtheyhearyoudrivinginacar.JWhenyouanswerthecallonthealternatedevice,theminutesonthatdeviceareusedforthecall.Ifyoudonotanswerthecallonthealternatedevice,thecallwillbedirectedbacktothedistrictCISCOVoIPtelephonevoicemailsystem,notthevoicemailonyouralternatedevice(i.e.cellphone).ClicktheSavebuttonbeforemakingfurtherchanges.

EnableMovetoMobile(LiveTransfer)NOTE:SingleNumberReach(SNR)mustbeenabledforthisfeaturetowork.

HOWTO:DeskphonetomobilephonetransferWhenyouareonyourdeskphoneandyouneedtoleaveyouroffice,butwanttocontinuetheconversationyoucanlivetransferthecalltoyourmobilephone.Whenyoulivetransfer,thepersonwithwhomyouarespeakingwillnotknowthedifference.Thereisnogapintheconversation.However,thecallermayknowyouarenolongerinyourofficeiftheyhearyoustartyourcar.J Step1:Whenonanactivecallonthedeskphone,pressthebuttonbelowthedotsatthebottomrightoftheLCDscreenuntilyouseeMobility. Step2:PressthebuttonbelowMobilityontheLCDscreen. Step3:PressthebuttonunderSelectontheLCDscreen. Step4:Yourmobilephoneshouldring.ANSWERTHECALL.Youarenowconnectedtothecalleronyourmobilephone.Theactivecallonyourdeskphonewillend.

HOWTO:MobilephonetodeskphonetransferTherearetwomethodstotransferacallfromyourmobilephonetoyourdeskphone:1.ThefirstmethodisonlyavailableforcallsthatwerepreviouslytransferredtoamobilephoneusingMobility(deskphonetomobilephonetransferfeature).WhenyouareonyourmobilephoneandwanttoLivetransferbacktoyourdeskphone,thepersonwithwhomyouarespeakingisplacedonhold.Thecallerwillhearonholdmusicuntilyouconnectthecallagainonyourdeskphone. Step1:Hangupthecallonyourcellphone.Thisplacesthecalleronholdand

Onholdmusicplays. Step2:Youmustpresstheflashingredlightlinebuttononthedeskphone

within5secondstocontinuethecall.Otherwisethecallwillend.2.ThesecondmethodisonlyavailablewhenyouhaveansweredacallonyourmobilephoneusingSingleNumberReach(SNR).ThecallcametoyourdeskphoneandwithSNR,italsorangonyourmobilephoneandyouanswereditonyourmobilephone.WhenyouareonyourmobilephoneandwanttoLivetransferbacktoyourdeskphone,thepersonwithwhomyouarespeakingisplacedonhold.Thecallerwillhearonholdmusicuntilyouconnectthecallagainonyourdeskphone. Step1:Whenyouareatyourdeskphone,hangupyourmobilephone.This

placesthecalleronholdandonholdmusicplays. Step2:Youmustpresstheflashingredlightlinebuttononthedeskphone

HOWTO:DeleteanadditionalphoneBacktoMyPhones,UnderAdditionalPhonesyoushouldseeWorkMobile(asanexample):ClickonthesettingswheelandselectDelete.Tochangesettings,selectEdit.

MobileJabberAPP:MakeandReceiveCallsviayourCell/SmartPhone

AlternativetoSingleNumberReachFacultyrequestedafeaturewiththenewphonesystemtocontactstudentsusingtheirpersonalcellphonewithoutrevealingtheirpersonalcellphonenumbertothestudents.TheJabberAPPforsmartphonesallowsdistrictfulltimeemployeeswithanassignedphonenumbertomakeandreceivecallsusingtheirdistrictassignedphonenumberontheircellphone.Note:cellphoneminutes/datachargesapplywhenusingtheappToconfigureyourassigneddistrictphonenumberforusewiththeJabberAPP,youmustcreateanETSRequestforHelp(usingabrowsergotoetshelp.fhda.edu;signinusingyourMyPortalIDandpassword)andaskthatyourdistrictassignedphonenumberbeconfiguredforusewiththeJabberMobileAPP. YoumustprovidethefollowingintheETSRequestforHelp:

1. Yourcellphonenumber2. Yourcellularprovider(example:ATT,Verizon,Sprint,T-Mobile)3. Operatingsystemofphone(iOSorAndroid)

ClickonthearrowtotheleftofeachitemtoviewtheSettingsdetail.

SpeedDialNumbersThestandarddesktelephoneallowsyoutoassignspeeddialnumberstothebottomthreebuttonstotheleftoftheLCDscreen.Ifyoumanagemorethantwophonenumbers,youwillhavefeweravailablephysicalbuttonsforspeeddialing.However,youcanstillcreateupto99speeddialnumbers.Atthetimeyourphonewasdeployed,speeddialnumbersmayhavebeenconfiguredforyou.

CreateSpeedDialNumbersUnderthePhonestabatthetopleftandthenPhoneSettings.ClickonthesmallarrowtotheleftofSpeedDialNumbers.

ClickonAddNewSpeedDialtoaddaspeeddialtoyourphone.Fillinthefieldsandassignaspeeddialnumberfrom1to99.ThenclickonSave.

ThescreenshotbelowconfirmsyouhavesetuptheSpeedDialnumbercorrectly.Ifyouhavecreatedmorespeeddialnumbersthanavailablebuttonsonyourdeskphone,youaccessthosespeeddialsusingtheassigneddialnumber.(Seebelow:CreatedmorespeedDialnumbersthanavailablebuttonsonthedeskphone)TheexamplebelowshowsDialnumber1.

HOWTO:SpeedDialConfigurationandUse

ThetoptwoleftbuttonsoftheLCDdisplayscreenarereservedforphonelines.ThebottomthreeleftbuttonsofLCDdisplayscreencanbeusedforSpeedDialnumbers,unlessyourphonehasbeensetupwithmorethan2phonelines.Utilizingatwo-digitnumbercodesetupintheSelfCarePortalyoucanaccessspeeddialnumbersbeyondthethreeassociatedwiththebuttonsonyourdeskphone.Thenpressthetwo-digitnumberassociatedwiththespeeddialnumberusingthe

IntheRequiredDisplayNamefield,typetheFirstNameofthecontactyouwanttoadd.Alistofnameswillappear.Selectthecontactyouwanttoaddandthefieldswillbeautopopulated.YoumanuallyaddtheHomeandMobilenumbers.Whenyouarefinished,clickonSave.Note:TypingtheLastNameintheDisplayNamefieldwillfail.

Thereisn’taneasywaytoimportmultiplecontactsandyoucannotsetupapersonalcontactfromwithintheCallLog.

PhoneContactSearchBoxOnceyouhavecreatedContacts,ifthelistislongandyouwanttofindanametodeleteit,youcanusetheSearchBox.Youcantypeafewlettersorthefullfirstorlastnameinthesearchbox.

LogIntoyourPersonalDirectoryOnyourdeskphone,presstheDirectorybutton.

Nowrefertothescreenonyourphone.MakesurePersonaldirectoryishighlightedlikeisinthepicturebelow.Otherwise,usethecircle/ringwithdotsonyourphone(seebelow);pressthedotstomoveupanddowntohighlightthePersonalDirectory.

NowpressthecenterofthecircletoselectthePersonaldirectory.Forfirsttimeuse,youneedtoenteryourCWIDintheUserIDfield.EnterthePhoneServicesPINyoucreatedinthePINfield(Note:YousetthisPINunder“GeneralSettings:PhoneServicesPIN”thisisnotyourVoicemailPIN/password).Pleasenote,youmaybepromptedtologinagainatalatertimeduetoaphonesystemreboottoapplyanupdate/upgrade.

Usingthekeypadonyourphone,enteryourCWIDasyourUserID.
