CIPR LOCAL PUBLIC SERVICES CONFERENCE PROGRAMME 1
Manchester, 6 and 7 November 2014
RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
Engagement is the new watchword. Our conference explores how communicators are best placed to steer the engagement of their organisations whether it be with staff, citizens, media or partners and develops the skills we all need to meet this challenge.

ENGAGE IN YOUR LEARNINGThis year’s conference programme builds on your feedback and will feature a wealth of active learning opportunities. You will be able to interact with the workshops, share your experiences and good ideas and plan new approaches. We want you to take away learning, new skills and guides which will help you in your day to day role.We will be adding to our programme and new speakers will be announced in coming weeks. But you can also help shape it. Got a hot topic you want covered then email: [email protected]
WEDNESDAY Delegates arriving on Wednesday
evening can join a Green Badge Tour of the City and Town Hall
with Helen Freeborough, the Communications Business Lead for
Manchester City Council. For those who would like to catch up with
old colleagues or meet some new faces you can join your CIPR LPS committee for
dinner in Manchester’s thriving city centre. This is not an organised event included
in the conference cost but an informal, relaxing start to the conference.
