Market Research: The Role of Islamic Investment in Business Growth - Las Anod and Erigavo 2017 - 2021 (Salaam Bank)
Introduction
The main difference between Islamic banks and for-profit commercial banks, in addition to non-interest-free trading, is that the main focus is on economic growth and business growth, which is beneficial. to the Muslim community, with easy access to the services and supplies they need. Growing business is one of the central objectives of the existence of Islamic Banks.
Islamic investment has been at an all-time high since 1975, when the First Islamic Bank was launched. Today, more than 75 governments operate sharia-compliant banks. Its operating capital is estimated at $ 20 trillion in 2021. The growth rate for Islamic banks since 2000 has been around the growth rate (18%).
The leading countries in the global Islamic banking market were Iran and Saudi Arabia (29%) and (25%) respectively. Malaysia (11%), UAE, Qatar (6%) and Turkey (1.8) are next. Similarly, Sudan is the only country in the world with a sharia-compliant financial system, while Saudi Arabia is the second country with an Islamic financial system (79%).
In the last ten years, the Islamic banking market in Somalia has been booming, with many banks operating in the science of Islamic law joining. Bank Salaam was one of the first banks to operate in Somalia. Islamic banks, using state-of-the-art financing methods such as lobby, wage and mortar, make huge annual investments. Bank Salaam, headquartered in Bossaso, has branches in all regions and districts of Puntland as well as Las Anod and Erigavo. The two branches in Somaliland have been in operation for almost 7 years, and annually make large business investments to serve the customers of the Bank in these two cities, Las Anod and Erigavo.
While there has been no previous research on the impact of investing in markets in these cities, this paper aims to shed light on the link between business growth rate and the amount of Islamic investment implemented by Bank Salaam.
Research Importance
Recognizing the relationship between the amount of Islamic investment and the rate of business growth is crucial for the development of Islamic banking systems, tools and financing methods. In the same way, this knowledge helps to pave the way for the overall banking policy of the banks, especially in the areas of marketing and investment. Therefore, examining the relationships between banking services and business situation is important.
Research Problem
