Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

The RCIA process will begin this Fall!

What is the RCIA? The RCIA is a process by which non-Catholic adults, or Catholic adults who did not receive all the Sacra-ments of Initiation, learn about the Catholic faith and gradually become full members. Do you know someone who has not been baptized and is interested in becoming a member of the Cath-olic Church? Any adult who has not been baptized and would like to begin the journey in preparation for the Sacra-ments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and First Eucharist), should call Deacon Phil Mills, Jr. at the Rectory office 631-842-5211, extension 29. This pro-cess is also for adults of other Christian faiths who have already been baptized and would like to join the Catholic Church.

TODOS LOS FIELES DIFUNTOS Todos los Católicos celebramos el Día de Todos los Santos y el Día de los Fieles Difuntos el 1 y 2 de Noviembre, respectivamente. El Día de Todos los Santos es un día Santo de O-- bligación. En ese día todos estamos obligados asistir a Misa para alabar y adorar a Dios y hon-rar las vidas de todos los santos. Celebramos a todos los santos, incluyendo a todos aquellos que son conocidos y desconocidos. Somos espe-cialmente conscientes de nuestros santos patro-nos: los santos cuyos nombres compartimos, los que honran nuestras familias, o los nombres de nuestras escuelas o parroquias. Dzień Wszystkich Świętych i Zaduszki to czas, który poświęcamy tym, którzy już odeszli z tego świata. 1 listopada wspominamy męczenników i świętych,

2 listopada pozostałych zmarłych, przede wszystkim modlimy się za dusze czyśćcowe.

PORADNIA RODZINNA W każdą środę wieczorem od godz. 19:00 jest czynna w biurze parafialnym poradnia rodzinna: problemy małżeńskie, problemy wychowawcze, plano-wanie rodziny. Spotkania prowadzone są przez panią Małgorzatę. Spotkania są bezpłatne. Nie jest wyimagana rejestracja.

Spotkanie odbędzie się w poniedziałek 18 listopada o godz. 19:30 w sali pod kościołem.

Można zapisać się do gotowania posiłków (np. ugotowa- nia garnka zupy lub przygotowania pół tacy jedzenia). Nastolatkowie potrzebujący wypracowania godzin na rzecz wspólnory (service hours) mogą np. przygotować kilka kanapek. Można także zgłosić chęć rozłożenia pościeli (prześcieradeł) i kocy na łóżkach polowych lub przynieść 2-litrową butelkę napoju gazowanego (soda). Czy mogliby Państwo zawieźć pościel do pralni publicznej lub ją stamtąd przywieźć?

Prosimy wszystkich, którzy mogliby pomóc jako wolonta- riusze o przybycie na spotkanie dla wolontariuszy, zapisa- nie się i porozmawianie z osobami z naszego zespołu. Zobaczymy wówczas, w jaki sposób moglibyście nam pomóc.
