We celebrate Baptisms most Sunday afternoons at 1:30pm. The baptism of your child is a great time to renew your own faith in Jesus Christ. Call the Office to schedule 856-983-0077
We have special programs for children, teens and adults who would like to become Catholic or complete their Sacraments. Please call 856-983-0077.
LOVE IS IN THE AIR Congratulations to all who have been recently engaged! We invite you to consider a Church wedding (contrary to what you may have heard, Church weddings do not have to be BIG church weddings!). We would be honored to help you prepare for your wedding day. Please call the Parish Office (ask for Pat—856.983.0077) at your earliest convenience. Marriage prep in the Church is easier (and more fun) than you may think!
CONSIDERING A DESTINATION WEDDING? If you are considering a destination wedding, please give us a call to discuss available options to have your marriage blessed as one of the seven Sacraments. Even if you aren’t sure what the Sacrament of Marriage is all about, give us a call. We think you will be pleasantly surprised!
ALREADY CIVILLY MARRIED?
Or married in another faith tradition? We would love to talk to you about having your marriage blessed in the Catholic Church.

PRAYER FOR SPIRITUAL COMMUNION (during the time we cannot be present for Mass) “My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I de-sire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You are already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.”
Corpus Christi/2020
THE BODY OF CHRIST GOSPEL JOHN 6:51-58 Jesus said to the Jewish crowds: "I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world." The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?" Jesus said to them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died, whoever eats this bread will live forever." (Click Here for All this Sunday’s Readings)
Dear Parishioners and Friends,
I know you yearn to return to Mass, to receive the Eucharist. I know, too, that this weekend, the Feast of the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ — Corpus Christi — would be a wonderful Sunday to welcome everyone back. But we are not quite ready to do so here at St. Joan of Arc. I want to make sure that we have taken every precaution we can possibly take. I am grateful for your patience and cooperation, and I am grateful to our Staff for the hard work done in preparing for public Masses.
Mass celebrated “in person” will begin here this Wednesday, June 17. Though limited to 50 persons, it will be wonderful to have people back in the pews, even if socially distant. Next weekend, June 20/21, will be our first Sunday Masses (5:30pm Vigil and 10:30am). These Masses will be limited to 200 persons.
Please check our website and our video for details on how to “register” for Mass. For those who wish to come, I humbly ask that you sign up for only one Mass a week, and perhaps every other week, until we get a handle on how many people want to come. This will be a work in progress. We will add Masses as necessary and as safely as possible.
The Sunday obligation has been lifted until September. This is a reminder to us that those who are not feeling well, or those more vulnerable, should kindly remain home. I have asked my own parents to refrain from going to Mass for a little while longer.
We will get through this. We ARE getting through this. You have done things … and sacrificed … like you did not think possible. Let’s get through this together because that is exactly what the Eucharist is about: uniting us to the Lord Jesus and forming us together in the Body of Christ, Corpus Christi, on earth.
May God continue to bless and protect you and all your loved ones.
Peace!
Fr. Rich
QUESTIONS TO SHARE 1) During these last months, confined because of
the pandemic, how did you feel not being able to receive Eucharist – Christ Himself?
2) St. Paul tells the Christian community that in receiving the Eucharist, they become one body in Christ. How do you experience that today? How would you like to experience that?
3) At this moment in your faith journey, what spiritual sources are nourishing you?
4) Have you been reading scripture during the past months while confined? If so, what has caught your attention? If not, do you think it would be a good way to experience Christ during this time?
Have a safe, peaceful, and blessed summer! Please remember to take Flat Jesus with your family. We would love to see your adventures. Send your pictures to [email protected]. Flat Jesus is available on our website on the Brown Envelope page.
Registration is open for the 2020-2021 school year. If you haven’t completed your registration by enrolling in FACTS Tuition Management please do so ASAP. If you have any questions, please contact Alyson Baranowski at 856-983-0077 x307 or email [email protected].
If you need to purchase e-gift cards to send as gifts or for yourself, use Shop with Scrip. Set up your online SCRIP account using SJA enrollment code 4779C34312443 at www.shopwithscrip.com.
We continue to pray for and send thanks to our first responders, nurses, doctors, teachers, and all essential workers for their selfless commitments. We will stay hopeful and together while keeping our distance! God Bless.

Our mission is to help parents share the Catholic faith with their children through several methods of learning. We hope to bring these young people to a deeper relationship with God from the teachings and love of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit.
Methods of learning:
•Traditional classroom: On Monday or Tuesday afternoons for Grades 1-5 and Monday or Tuesday evenings for Grades 6,7, and 8. This program runs from September until May.
•Home Study - Grades 3,4,5 and 6. This is for parents who cannot bring their child to the Monday or Tuesday classroom settings. The parent would teach the child at home one lesson per week. We also ask that your child attend three activities throughout the school year.
•Family Catechesis: - This program is offered to 1st and 2nd grade parents only. As a parent you will teach your child at home for three weeks with curriculum provided and then attend a class once a month in the evening with your child to reinforce what was taught at home. Both parent and child must attend this once a month class. Dates for once a month classes will be announced in July.
• Special Disciples - This is a classroom setting for those with special needs. Our catechists are certified to teach children with special needs and we have a one on one approach with the children. This program runs every other Sunday during the 9am Mass from October until April.
Please register for traditional classes as soon as possible as our Monday classes fill quickly.
Tuition : 1 child-$100, 2 children-$125
3+ children-$150

SJA TRIP TO HOLY LANDS CANCELLED
It is with a heavy heart and sincere disappointment to inform you that our SJA Pilgrimage to the Holy Land in the Footsteps of Our Lord with Fr. Jorge Bedoya, Deacon Jeff & Maureen DeFrehn scheduled for October 17-27, 2020 must be canceled.
After much consultation with Catholic Heritage Tours, we have come to the decision that due to the ongoing global uncertainty and international travel bans, it is not feasible for us to proceed. Therefore, we consider it prudent and necessary to cancel our pilgrimage.
Safety and well-being is our number one priority, and we want our pilgrims to have the very best travel experience possible, visiting all the scheduled sites and feeling both comfortable and safe.
We have every intention of rescheduling this trip at a future date, and will be sure to keep you posted with further developments.
Sincerely, Deacon Jeff & Maureen DeFrehn
