GOOD FRIDAY, APRIL 3, 2015 Once again, we invite you to participate in Communion and Liberation’s Annual Way of the Cross on Good Friday, April 3rd. The opening service begins at 10:00AM in St. James Cathedral in Brooklyn. The procession will follow the cross to a second station on the Brooklyn Bridge, to a third station at City Hall Park in Manhattan, and a fourth station near Ground Zero. The final station will be at St. Peter’s Church on Barclay Street, concluding at 1:45pm. At each station, there will be readings from the Passion, a meditation, a reflection by Fr. Richard Veras, and music led by the choir of Communion and Liberation. The 2,000-3,000 participants proceed in silence from station to station. The entire walk is two and one-half miles long. We reserved a coach bus for our parish that will leave promptly from St. Rita’s at 8:30am at the Westwood Avenue parking lot. Please be there by 8:15am. The bus will meet us after the service at 1:45pm at St. Peter’s Church. The bus should return to St. Rita’s by 3:00pm for our Good Friday liturgy. The offering to help defray the bus cost is $20.00 per adult and $5.00 per child under 12 years of age. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please reserve your seat early as the bus was filled last year.
