• Christmas is a celebration. We celebrate Chirstmas generally on 25th of December to commemorate the birth of Jesus, the central figure of chistianity. In Christmas comes Olentzero, the Three Wise men and Papa Noel. In 31st of December we eat 12 grapes to celebrate the new year.

Christmas is very beautiful. Chruistmas is my favourite because Olentzero, The Three Wise Men bring me presents. Three Wise Men are my favourite because bring me many presents. Ol,entzero lives in the mountain and in 24th of December comes to Arrigorriaga and in the night we have the presents. In Arrigorriaga in Christmas, we sing songs, dance and do many things. Olentzero is very famous in Arrigorriaga because we celebrate only in parts of Euskadi.Jon Hierro

Christmas because “Olentzero” comes to Basque country’s houses with presents and one or more presents are for me . “Olentzero” is the man that hands out the presents to boys and girls of the Basque country. He comes on 24th of December. Is the similar to Santa Claus. He has got a big tummy, and a “txapela”. “Txapela” is a cap.
