As we sit and watch the mundane scenery from our window here in Deep Cove, we reflect on our recent sojourn to Langley for the annual Christmas get-together.

It was a time to reconnect with friends

It was a chance to pursue our communal passion…

Eating!

… and drinking!

It was a time to discoverjust…

Just how darn sexy Louise looks with a moustache

… and Ken with Kitty ears

Just how good Joyce felt to see the look on Jim’s face when he tasted the cake she had made specially for him

Just how bad Stephan was at flying that little bug…

… and just how good Paul was at Kosherland (prectice, prectice)

Just how good a glass of wine tastes when you’re snuggled on a warm couch in your jammies

Just how frustrating that puzzle was …

… especially the yellow part

Just why it is that Ken doesn’t eat soup with a spoon like the rest of us?

Just how good it feels to laugh with close ones …

… and get silly …

… and sillier …

… and sillier …

… and kinda cute!

Just how excited we can all get over a $15 greed gift

Just how amazingly quiet it got when the word games came out.

You could hear the mental wheels grinding ...

… and see the brows furrowing

We had the time of our lives…I saw a man and he danced with his wife

Who had TWO glasses of wine!

Then there was this other guy who danced with someone else’s wife.

A wonderful time was had by all.
