Utilising Kingspan Insulated Panels allowed us to design and deliver a fast track project for our client. Their panels are easy to detail and fast to install, we have used them on many projects and will continue to do so as their extensive product range offers a lot of flexibility for all building types.

The Design

After an Earthquake deemed Christchurch police headquarters unsafe, the police force needed a new temporary base from which to operate. A key requirement for this project was for it to be a single storey building large enough to accommodate for 600 police staff, as well as an additional 35 members of staff from the Corrections Department.

This 7500sq metre police station now operates as a temporary base for police staff in the heart of the city.



Fast Construction

Christchurch Police needed to relocate to a new premise quickly in order to continue operating within the city. The original 13 Storey headquarters building was deemed unsafe to work in and a temporary solution was urgently required.

The Micro-Rib and Trapezoidal roof panels incorporated into this design are assembled off site, significantly increasing the speed of construction. This service enabled the project to be completed within 6 months.”

Business and Personal Protection

Creating a building which would provide protection against the elements was crucial for this project. Christchurch Police requested a high performance thermal building envelope for their new temporary headquarters.

Micro-Rib and Trapezoidal roof panels are LPCB and FM approved, offering significant protection in the event of a fire. These panels work to restrict fire spread to offer maximum protection of your business.
