† The Confession of Faith....................................................... The Nicene Creed I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible;

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, begotten of His Father before all worlds; God of God; Light of Light; Very God of Very God; Begotten, not made; Being of one substance with the Father; by whom all things were made; Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven; and was incarnate by the Holy Ghost of the Virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate. He suffered and was buried; And the third day He rose again according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven; and sitteth on the right hand of the Father. And He shall come again, with glory, to judge both the quick and the dead; Whose kingdom shall have no end.

And I believe in the Holy Ghost; The Lord and Giver of Life; Who proceedeth from the Father and the Son; Who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; Who spake by the Prophets. And I believe one holy catholic and apostolic Church. I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins. And I look for the resurrection of the dead; and the life of the world to come. Amen. (*universal)

The Doxology ............................................................................old hundredth

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heavenly host: Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

The Prayer of Confession, Thanksgiving and Intercession

The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

The Response to God’s Grace – (sung by all) ...........................................ville du havre

It Is Well with My Soul O Lord, haste the day when the faith shall be sight, The clouds be rolled back as a scroll, The trump shall resound and the Lord shall descend, “Even so” — it is well with my soul. It is well with my soul; It is well, it is well with my soul.

The Offering and the Prayer of Dedication (Please record your attendance in the green Friendship Register.)

The Offertory Anthem – Celtic Laud ................................................Courtney For fruit of the vine, for harvest of wheat, For bread and for wine, the gift of Your feast.

Chorus: The cup of thanksgiving I gratefully raise, O Lord of my living, my love and my praise.

For dove in the sky, for wind in the trees, For coal in the fire, Your Spirit in me. Chorus

For springtime’s green earth, for morning’s first light, For every new birth, for grace and for life. Chorus

Alicia Markyna, flautist

God Moves in a Mysterious WayOn the final verse, children in K4 through Grade 3 may exit for Catechism.

WelcomeWe are delighted that you have joined us in worship today. It is our desire that, as prayers are raised, hymns and anthems are sung, and God’s Word is proclaimed, our worship will bring glory to God and gladness to His people. Indeed, we pray that you will personally be blessed by the corporate worship of the Triune God and return to worship with us next Lord’s Day. If you would like to know more about Christ Church, how to become a member, or, most importantly, how to have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, please talk with our pastor or an elder standing by him in the narthex after the service.

Evening WorshipJust recently we began an important series in the evening service on “The Place of God’s Law in the Life of God’s People.” As we continue exploring this crucial subject together, we will have a special message tonight for the children on “What Use Is God’s Law?” Then, following hearty prayer and singing, we will look together at the second commandment with a message titled, “Worship 101: It Matters How You Worship!” We warmly invite you to join us this evening as we gather to worship in spirit and truth.

Sacrament of Holy CommunionDo this in remembrance of Me. Luke 22:19

Today we will observe the Sacrament of Holy Communion during Morning Worship. The Lord’s supper is for sinners who recognize their need for Jesus, come in repentance and faith in Him alone, and are communing members in good standing of an evangelical church. Please prepare your heart to enjoy rich communion with our Lord, feeding upon Him by faith.

Upcoming Inquirer’s ClassIf you are considering membership at Christ Church, Presbyterian or simply want to know more about our church, don’t miss the Inquirer’s Class being held this weekend (Friday: 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.; Saturday: 9 a.m. until noon). This class will explore important questions, such as: What does it mean to be a Christian? What do we believe about God, salvation, the church, baptism and other important matters of faith? Further we will consider practical questions: Why do we worship like that? What is our mission as a church? What does membership involve and why is it important? How can I get involved? If you are interested in being a part of this class, please call the church office (706–210–9090) or sign up at the Welcome Table. Childcare will be provided.

I have stored up Your word in my heart, that I might not sin against You.” (Series C: Reliance on God’s Resources; Topic: His Help in Temptation).
