Chicago Heights Library Newsletter Fall Edition September - December 2015 Library Town Hall Meeting & Open House Come Check Us Out! On June 22,2015, the library had an opportunity to open our doors to the community and show all the recent improvements. The library completed an ADA ramp, new study rooms, new teen café, new computer lab, new music studio, and improved the large meeting room. Over 100 residents came to check us out! We celebrated with a theatrical performance by artist Noah Patton, a Taekwondo demonstration, music studio demo, Board Meeting with public participation, and library tours. Mayor Gonzalez and other elected officials came out to show support on the library improvements. On June 22,2015, the library had an opportunity to open our doors to the community and show all the recent improvements. The library completed an ADA ramp, new study rooms, new teen café, new computer lab, new music studio, and improved the large meeting room.

Wonderful Wednesdays
Adults join Ms. Gwen and the African American Book Club for insightful discussion on books by and about African Americans. Adult Book Club meets every 3rd Wednesday, from 6-7:30pm.
Super Saturdays
Each and every Saturday from 12-1pm, join us along with the Supreme Martial Arts Academy for Taekwondo Classes! Learn basic kicks, strikes, blocks, and more!
Then stay for dance class from 1-2pm starting:

Thrilling Thursdays
Love to game? Bring a friend and your favorite video gaming console for fun and games every Thursday from 4-5pm.
Later, join the Creative Crochet Club and learn the art of crochet and create something wonderful! Every Thursday from 6-7pm.
Teens join us as we learn the fundamentals of mixing, scratching, music selection and more. DJ Academy is happening every Thursday from 4-5pm.
