Physical Infrastructure Facilities
5.1 Drinking WaterMain source of drinking water of the village is tube well/borehole. The village
has 30 tube wells & 50 hand pumps. In village one U.G. tank and O.H. tank.
Both have capacity of 50,000 lit. Tap water is untreated and salted, so
drinking water has significant negative health impacts on village dwellers.

Provision of water treatment plant or Reverse Osmosis (RO) system can solve
this problem.
5.2 Drainage NetworkNo drainage facilities are present in the village. Rain water is discharged into
Mahi-Sagar River. Used water by households is discharged into khal-kuva.
Provide Proper drainage network.
5.3 Transportation & Road NetworkVillage approach road and Main road to the village are all weather roads. The
village approach road is in bad condition. Internal Streets in the village are
kutchha road (Soil). Nearest state highway SH-6 (Jambusar - Padra) is 8 km
from the village.
Provision of All-weather roads/Black Topped Pucca roads should be made for
the internal streets to solve the mud problem during rainy seasons.
Village approach road should be repaired as being in bad condition.
The village is not facilitated with any railway station. Nearest railway Station is
Vadodara Railway Station.
The Village has a Bus Station but routes are not allotted to the village.
Local transportation in the village is Chhakda and Private Vehicles.

door to door garbage collection vehicles to solve the waste problem.
5.7 Irrigation FacilitiesThe main source of irrigation is from tube well and canal.
5.8 Housing conditionThe housing condition is poor in the village. 70% of the village houses are
kutchha & 30% of village houses are pucca.

Any Other No
The village is not having any source of non-conventional energy.
The village is also not having any source of sustainable infrastructure facilities
like Bio-Gas Plant, Solar Street Lights and Rain Water Harvesting System.
Provision of the solar street light is the best alternative to solve the problem of
street lights for the villagers.
Rain Water Harvesting System can solve the drinking water problem of the
village dweller.
We should provide bio-gas plant to get the fertilizer for agriculture and gas for
the cocking purpose.

Existing Condition of Public Buildings
The Condition of the bus stand is not that good and should be repaired.
The condition of the panchayat building is also bad and require for the new
building.
The one of primary school building is old more than 100years so require for
the new building.
The periphery wall is not available for Secondary School.
The public library building condition is also poor.

12.0 PLANNING PROPOSAL:- Planning proposal is provide amenities which required most in village for
prevent migration of population which live in chokari village.
As discuss above in ch.9
The village is not having any source of non-conventional energy.
The village is also not having any source of sustainable infrastructure facilities
like Bio-Gas Plant, Solar Street Lights and Rain Water Harvesting System.
We should provide bio-gas plant to get the fertilizer for agriculture and gas for
the cocking purpose.
Propose the green infrastructure facility bio-gas:We should design ARTI bio gas plant which is economical to the village
dwellers. Installation of ARTI bio-gas plan is easy.
ARTI has developed a compact biogas plant which uses waste food rather
than dung/manure as feedstock, to supply biogas for cooking. The plant is
sufficiently compact to be used by urban households, and about 2000 are
currently in use – both in urban and rural households in Maharashtra. A few
have been installed in other parts of India and even elsewhere in the world.
The design and development of the bio-gas plant is simple.
The impending scarcity of petroleum threatens the world’s fuel supply.
Mankind can face this threat successfully with the help of biogenous methane,
but the world is yet to take full advantage of this technology, because its
practitioners have so far ignore the basic tenet of science – viz. output of work
is dependent on the energy available for doing that work. This fact is seen in
the current practice of using low calorie inputs like cattle dung, distillery
effluent, municipal solid waste or sewerage, in biogas plants, which makes
methane generation highly inefficient.
Parul Institute of Engineering and Technology
Page 25
Page
4
Vishwakarma Yojana Techno Economic Survey Report
Fig.Just 2 kg of such feedstock produces about 500 g of methane, and the
reaction is completed with 24 hours. The conventional biogas systems, using
cattle dung, sewerage, etc. use about 40 kg feedstock to produce the same
quantity of methane, and require about 40 days to complete the reaction.
Thus, from the point of view of conversion of feedstock into methane, the
system developed by Dr. Anand Karve is 20 times as efficient as the
conventional system, and from the point of view of reaction time, it is 40 times
as efficient. Thus, overall, the new system is 800 times as efficient as the
conventional biogas system.
