Per Capita GDP exceeded $1,000 for first time in 2003
GDP by sectoragriculture: 13.8%industry: 52.9%services: 33.3%
Higher education:In 1997, university enrollment in “regular higher education” stood at 3.2 million; by 2000, it had risen to 7 million. The Ministry of Education plans to have 16 million enrolled by 2010 (including distance and continuing education).
