The Constitution of India

"The State shall endeavor to provide within a period of ten years

from the commencement of this Constitution, free and compulsory education

for all children until they complete the age of 14 years."

Directive Principles of State Policy, 1950“No child below the age of 14 years shall be employed

to work in a factory or mines or engaged in any other hazardous employment”{article-24}.
