EU MSDS and CofA Project
Problem: • Existing MSDS and CofA’s in word templates needed to automate the process from formula in ERP
system
• Needed to update to be compliant with current regulations
• Required easy to access solution, to reduce demands on customer service and QC
• Required Regulatory Release June 2013
• Needed encryption coding to identify system generated document accuracy

Price Banding Project
Problem: • Customers’ price increase generalized without regard to volume
• Needed to band pricing based on item, family, and customer volume for set times
• Manual price banding chart creation taking too long
• Wanted completion for each of the top 10 customers top 10 items in 6 months
Results of project: • Visually identifiable customer price outliers to recognize prospective adjustments
• Selectable variable to select volume bases and timeframe
• Automated process reducing chart creation from 3 days to 3 minutes
• Completed top 10 customers top 10 items in first week, trained management on use, and updated corporate pricing teams with scripts for automation of price bands
Mitch Graham - Global Demand Manager for Lubrizol, thanked me for my great work of the price banding program and was excited that I shared my solutions.
