He is responsible for new product development and marketing for the Coatings Market. In 1995, he identified TBAc as a potentially VOC-exempt solvent and has been working to get it exempted ever since. For the past 11 years, he has held several positions at Lyondell and ARCO Chemical including research chemist, technical service manager, and market development manager. Prior to joining Lyondell Chemical, he worked as a research chemist for Amoco Chemicals in Naperville, IL. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the College of Wooster in Ohio, a Masters in Chemistry from Northwestern University, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Penn State University. He has co-authored 15 US patents, numerous articles, and two book chapters. Personal: Dan was born and raised near Paris, France, and is a dual citizen. He is married and has three boys. He is an avid soccer player and holds a National D soccer license.
