FRONT DOOR.
PRELIMINARY: DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE
ANTENNA: THE FACTORY ANTENNA IS LOCATED ON THE RIGHT FRONTFENDER.
RADIO REMOVAL AND IN-DASH INSTALLATION:NOTE: THE FACTORY RADIO PROVISION IS FOR AN M2000 STYLE GM
CHASSIS RADIO. AN INSTALLATION KIT IS REQUIRED FORAFTERMARKET INSTALLATIONS. WE RECOMMEND THE USE OF ASCOSCHE GM1517 KIT.
1. EXTRACT THE (2) SCREWS SECURING THE TOP AREA OF THE DRIVER’SSIDE UNDERDASH COVER PANEL.
2. PULL THE DRIVER’S SIDE UNDERDASH DOWN TO ACCESS AND EXTRACT(2) 7MM HEX SCREWS HOLDING THE BOTTOM OF THE DASH BEZEL.
3. EXTRACT THE SCREW LOCATED IN THE TOP EDGE OF THE DASH PANELAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER.
4. CAREFULLY PRY OUT ON THE DASH BEZEL TO RELEASE THE FASTENINGCLIPS SECURING THE BEZEL TO THE DASH AND UNPLUG HEADLIGHT /MISC. SWITCHES ON THE DRIVER’S (LEFT) OF THE BEZEL.
CAUTION: AT THIS POINT, TAKE CARE AROUND THE HAZARD SWITCH, BYTILTING THE WHEEL DOWN AND/OR DEPRESSING THE SWITCH SO THEPANEL WILL CLEAR. ALSO TAKE CARE TO SNAP THE PASSENGER AIRBAG SWITCH FROM THE DASH PANEL AND PUSH IT BACK THROUGH ITSOWN HOLE RATHER THAN UNPLUGGING THE SWITCH. IT IS A COSTLYREPAIR BILL IN EXCESS OF $400.00 TO REPLACE THE HAZARD SWITCH.
5. REMOVE THE DASH BEZEL FROM THE VEHICLE.
FRONT DASH SPEAKER INSTALLATION:NOTE: THE FACTORY SPEAKER PROVISION IS FOR A STANDARD 4 X 6"
SPEAKER.1. EXTRACT THE (2) SCREWS SECURING THE SPEAKER GRILL TO THE
DASH, PULL THE GRILL AWAY FROM THE WINDSHIELD TO RELEASE ANDTHE GRILL.
2. EXTRACT THE (2) REMAINING SCREWS SECURING THE SPEAKER TO THEDASH, UNPLUG THE LEADS AND REMOVE THE SPEAKER.
FRONT DOOR SPEAKER INSTALLATION:NOTE: THE FACTORY PROVISION IS FOR A 7" ROUND 4-HOLE SPEAKER
MOUNTED IN A FACTORY ADAPTER/SPACER. WE RECOMMEND THE USEOF THE SCOSCHE SAC656 SPEAKER ADAPTER SET FOR STANDARD 51/4"AND 61/2" SPEAKER INSTALLATIONS.
1. EXTRACT (2) 7 MM HEX BOLTS FROM UNDER THE FRONT AND BACK OFTHE DOOR PULL HANDLE.
2. EXTRACT (1) SCREW AT THE BACK OF THE DOOR RELEASE CUP ANDREMOVE THE CUP/TRIM.
3. CAREFULLY REMOVE THE WINDOW CRANK WHEN SO EQUIPPED USING AWINDOW CRANK REMOVAL TOOL OR A PICK TOOL.
4. USING A PANEL REMOVAL TOOL CAREFULLY PRY OUT ON THEPERIMETER OF THE DOOR PANEL TO RELEASE THE PANEL FASTENERS.
5. LIFT UP ON THE DOOR PANEL TO RELEASE FROM THE WINDOW LIP, ANDREMOVE THE DOOR PANEL.
6. EXTRACT THE (4) SCREWS SECURING THE SPEAKER TO THE ADAPTER,UNPLUG THE LEADS AND REMOVE THE SPEAKER.

6. EXTRACT THE (4) SCREWS SECURING THE SPEAKER TO THE ADAPTER,UNPLUG THE LEADS AND REMOVE THE SPEAKER.
NOTE: FACTORY ADAPTER IS RIVETED TO THE DOOR.REAR SIDE PANEL SPEAKER INSTALLATION (2 DOOR MODELS):NOTE: THE FACTORY PROVISION IS FOR A 6 X 9" SPEAKER MOUNTED TO A
FACTORY ADAPTER/SPACER.1. REMOVE THE PLASTIC COVER FOR THE SEAT BELT BOLT HIGH UP ON
THE SIDE PANEL BEHIND THE DOOR AND REMOVE THE TORX BOLTHOLDING THE SEAT BELT UP.
2. REMOVE THE GRAB HANDLE ALONG THE WINDOW BY POPPING OF THEBOLT COVER AT EACH END AND REMOVING A 10 MM BOLT FROM EACHEND OF THE HANDLE.
3. EXTRACT (1) SCREW AT THE TOP OF THE PANEL HOLDING THE COATHANGER HOOK.
4. CAREFULLY PULL ON SIDE PANEL TOWARD THE MIDDLE OF THE VEHICLETO RELEASE SEVERAL SPRING CLIPS.
