If you have already made a donaon for the year, thank you so much because we HAVE made the Grand Lodge goal at this me. Now it is me to reach the State Associaon goal of $10 per capita. We were very close to reaching it last year. Let’s surpass last year’s giving – it is a donaon to your community which we all know and love. In line with the Christmas party theme, we have our Children’s Christmas party on Saturday, December 10th from 2 - 4 p.m. It is guaranteed to be lots of fun for the children of our Lodge and community. Please get the word out to your friends, neighbors, and coworkers to fill the Lodge with children and Christmas spirit. Maybe while the children are aending the party they may want to do an American poster which can be submied to the Lodge Americanism poster contest. This year’s poster theme is My Favorite American Symbol. Also, the deadline is drawing near for the Americanism Essay contest. We are hoping your children can submit a great essay for us to judge. This year’s topic is “Why it is important to Vote?” The recent elecon only emphasizes why it is important to vote. At the me, I want to thank the Lodge for a great year thus far. We have had some successful new events and some not so successful. Regardless, we have been found shoulder to shoulder working hard for our Lodge and our community we all love so much! Dinners served at Chestertown Lodge are prepared and served solely by VOLUNTEERS.
THERE ARE NO PAID WAITERS AND / OR WAITRESSES.
Therefore, after a night of preparation, serving and cleaning up from a dinner, it is disheartening to find tables
left with trash on them.
MEMBERS, PLEASE REMOVE YOUR EMPTY GLASSES AND BOTTLES AS WELL AS YOUR DIRTY PLATES, UTENSILS
AND PLACE MATS. YOU WILL SAVE A VOLUNTEER FROM EXTRA WORK

CHESTERTOWN LODGE COAT, HAT & GLOVE DRIVE
THANK YOU FOR THE GENEROUS DONATIONS OF COATS, HATS AND GLOVES TO OUR COMMUNITY DRIVE. We delivered
three large boxes of warmth to Kent Family Center on Thanksgiving Eve. They were grateful to have them, especially since
most of them were for adults. They said they get a lot of children’s outerwear, but need more for the adults who frequent
the Center.
Elks Camp Barrett (ECB)
Thank you from the Chestertown Lodge ECB Committee for the fabulous participation from our Lodge at the Boy Scout
Camporee November 11-13, 2016. Kudos to Tanner Bilbrough, Gerry Emerick, Anna Krotee, Donna and Tommy Moloney,
Jackie Phillips, and Robert Raleigh. They helped make us No. 1 with the number of volunteers from the entire MD DE DC
State Association. Participants all agreed that the smooth operation of this event was one of the best in recent years.
The ECB Picnic is May 28, 2017– something to look forward to during the long, cold winter months. All members are invited to attend and see why the campers who attended in past years love it so much. All the 26 campers sent by Chestertown Lodge in 2016 gave us a lot of positive feedback.
THANK YOU TO ALL CAMPERS AND ALL PARTICIPANTS WHO HELP MAKE ECB SUCCESSFUL !
