The last exhibition raised over £15,000 for charity. Experienced artist or complete novice, you have the chance to create and exhibit an artwork in any medium 2/3 D based on a 12”x 16” canvas and using the theme ‘Stuff of Life’. The entry fee is £10 which includes a 12” x 16”canvas and hanging fee. Completed canvases need to be submitted by 4 November and will be exhibited for £45. Photograph Competition – Design in Architecture
The 2015 subject for the photograph competition will be a photograph of a building (domestic, commercial, historic, folly, public or community). The photograph must have been taken by the named entrant, and not entered into any other competition. No professional photographers are allowed to enter. Each entrant may enter up to six photographs
The photograph can be taken by 35mm or digital camera and printed in black and white or colour. The print must be no bigger than 25cmx20cm (10”x8”). Following Chesterton Choral Society’s successful and impressive
concert last March, when, before a large audience, members
performed Welsh composer Karl Jenkins’ well known mass ‘The
Armed Man’, the society is to stage a summer concert during the
forthcoming Chesterton Festival.
Music and songs, appropriate for the warm summer evenings, will be
presented and will include Vaughan Williams lovely ‘Serenade to
Music’.
Tickets for the concert will be £7 each (conc. for over 60s and
unwaged £4), with a family ticket at £15, and can be obtained from
