Looking forward to enjoying an evening of fun and fundraising at
Cherry’s Fiesta with you!
This year’s Jubilee is sure to be a very special evening. We’ll have
the opportunity to come together as a school community to
celebrate our preschool’s 24th anniversary and support its mission
and core values. In addition to enjoying the delicious food and drink
and each others' company, we’ll be bidding on all the wonderful
silent auction items in an effort to raise funds that are vital to the
preschool’s ability to carry out programs that are central to who we
are. The success of the Jubilee is directly related to our ability to
continue our Inclusion Program for children with special needs.
Funds raised that evening during our Inclusion Paddle Call will allow
us to continue to enroll children with special needs next year and
fund the salaries of the inclusion aides who provide the support they
need in order to have the opportunity to participate fully in our
classes. A parent of a child in our Inclusion Program shared her
feelings about her child's experience at Cherry Preschool:
Our child with developmental problems found a home at Cherry
Preschool. The teachers and other children all accepted our son
and made him feel welcome. This opportunity at Cherry Preschool
was not available elsewhere. Either other preschools had no
programs for children with disabilities, or else the preschools chose
not to accept our son because he was different. Cherry Preschool
serves as a valuable asset to our community. It needs our support.
Please join us at this year’s Jubilee and keep our Inclusion children
and our goal of creating friendships amongst children of all abilities
in mind when you bid on all the goodies in the auction. We hope
you’ll go home with some wonderful items but also a warm feeling in
your heart knowing that your generosity will make a lasting,
meaningful difference in the life and education of a child with special
needs and his/her family.
Thank you & see you at the Jubilee!

YOU CAN HELP MAKE THE
2016 JUBILEE A SUCCESS
This year’s event hopes to raise $56,000. Below are ways you can
help the Jubilee reach this goal and keep the Inclusion and Financial
Assistance programs funded for the next school year.
1. COME TO THE EVENT! The more people that join us, the more
fun we all have and the more money we raise. Come as a
couple, a group of moms or a group of dads (with your spouse
at home), bring a friend, find a shared babysitter...Any way it
works, the event is better if you are there.
2. HOST A BUY-IN PARTY! This is where you (or a group of you)
host a party/event. It can be for kids, adults, families—whatever
works. You pick the date, theme/topic and number of attendees
and people buy a ticket to join in the fun.
3. SEND-A-FRIEND! To celebrate Cherry’s inclusive mission, we
invite you to participate in the “Send-A-Friend” program.
Proceeds from these donations will help send parents who wish
to attend but are unable due to financial restrictions.
4. OFFER SERVICES...business owners can offer their services to
be included in the silent auction or as buy-in parties.
5. AUCTION ITEM DONATION! The auction could use any of the
following: use of a vacation home, extra credit card travel miles,
tickets to a local sports team, Chicago area restaurant gift
certificates or access to a once in a lifetime experience.
6. CASH DONATION! Can’t make it to the event? You donation in
any amount is much appreciated and will help reach the goal.
