Professor, Civil CHEMFLARE-2k15- National Student Conference National Student conference CHEMFLARE-2k15 was organized by RACE (Rays of ANITS Chemical Engineering) in the Department of Chemical Engineering during December 18 th -19 th 2015. Dr. S. V. Praveen, Director (operations), L.G. Polymers (P) Limited graced the occasion as the Chief Guest during the inaugural function on 18th December 2015. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Sheshamma, AGM, Quality assessment and Technology department, Visakhapatnam Steel plant on environmental aspects at steel plant and in general. Mr. G. Vijay Kumar, Consultant, Process Engineers Group gave a talk on process simulation: various types of simulation packages, challenges in industries, opportunities in industries by learning process simulation packages. INDIA 2016 THE THIRD INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE The Dept. of CSE and ANITS CSI Students Branch organized INDIA 2016 the Third International conference on 8-9 Jan 2016.This event has brought all the intellectuals, researchers, scholars and academicians internationally, who are working on information systems design and intelligent applications in the areas of computer science, information technology, communication engineering and management together at one place and acted as a stage for sharing and exchanging their views on the upcoming trends in the above mentioned areas. About 750+ papers have been received and 215 quality papers after thorough review process have been selected for publications in the Proceedings by Springer-AISC series in THREE volumes. All the papers of this international conference have been presented in 13 parallel tracks simultaneously. Many internationally renowned and well known researchers and academicians like, Professor Ashok Deshpande from Berkeley, Professor Lakhmi C.Jain ,Australia and, Dr.Aynur Unal from Stanford University, Dr. Rajib Mall from IIT Khargpur, Dr B K Panigrahi, IIT Delhi, Dr B Majhi, NIT Rourkela, Fr G Sanyal, NIT Durgapur have attended this international conference and gave their key note addresses. CHEMFLARE-2k15- National Student Conference

National Student conference CHEMFLARE-2k15 was

organized by RACE (Rays of ANITS Chemical

Engineering) in the Department of Chemical

Engineering during December 18th-19th 2015. Dr. S.

V. Praveen, Director (operations), L.G. Polymers (P)

Limited graced the occasion as the Chief Guest during

the inaugural function on 18th December 2015. The

keynote address was delivered by Dr. Sheshamma,

AGM, Quality assessment and Technology

department, Visakhapatnam Steel plant on

environmental aspects at steel plant and in general.

Mr. G. Vijay Kumar, Consultant, Process Engineers

Group gave a talk on process simulation: various types of simulation packages, challenges in industries,

opportunities in industries by learning process simulation packages. A total number of 57 papers were presented

by the students from various universities and institutions Spot events like Technical Quiz, Elocution and other

fun events were also conducted. The valedictory function was graced by Sri V. Appala Raju, IRS, Additional

Commissioner of Income Tax. Prof. V.S.R.K. Prasad, Principal, ANITS, Dr. R. Govardhana Rao, Director,

(admin.), Prof. S. Subba Rao, HOD, faculty, supporting staff and students of Department of Chemical Engineering

took part in the event.

INDIA 2016 THE THIRD INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

The Dept. of CSE and ANITS CSI Students Branch

organized INDIA 2016 the Third International

conference on 8-9 Jan 2016.This event has brought

all the intellectuals, researchers, scholars and

academicians internationally, who are working on

information systems design and intelligent

applications in the areas of computer science,

information technology, communication engineering

and management together at one place and acted

as a stage for sharing and exchanging their views on

the upcoming trends in the above mentioned areas.

About 750+ papers have been received and 215

quality papers after thorough review process have been selected for publications in the Proceedings by

Springer-AISC series in THREE volumes. All the papers of this international conference have been presented

in 13 parallel tracks simultaneously. Many internationally renowned and well known researchers and

Cursors 2016, technical fest organized by

Dept of CSE, ANITS was held from 2nd -

3rd March 2016. On the inaugural day

O.Nareshkumar, CEO, Symbiosis (Chief

Guest) has presided over the meeting and

spoke about the requirements of a

software engineer. C.V.Anirudh, Co-

Chairman, Youth & IT Affairs, FTAPCCI

spoke about the possibilities to grow even

with the limited number of resources. A

state level coding competition was also

held where students from other states had

participated. Events like paper

presentations, poster presentation, what

an idea, technical quiz, youth governance,

and some more spot events were

conducted. 249 students from different

colleges had participated. Around 30,000/

- cash prize are given. On the valedictory

day Deepak Madala, President, THE-AP

has encouraged the students to participate

in various coding contests which help them

in analyzing and enhancing their technical

skills.

ePROBE2016

A two day National level tech festePROBE2016 was conducted byDepartment of ECE, ANITS in associationwith ACES, IEEE Student Branch and IETEStudent Forum during 25th and 26thFebruary 2016. ePROBE 2016 carried 18events: 6 technical, 9 non technical eventsand 3 workshops namely PCB Design,MATLAB, LABVIEW, DIGIGEEK, E Quiz,Expresso, Mindspark and Ultimate manager.Sri R.M.M.Krishna, Principal GeneralManager, BSNL, Visakhapatnam Telecom

circle, inaugurated and he advised the students to share their knowledge on platformslike ePROBE2016 which will enhance their employability skills. In this direction, BSNL,along with AICTE, is offering a 3-semester sandwich program “Employment EnhancibilityTraining Program which is limited to 10 students from each engineering college free ofcost.

The President of the function, Dr.N.B.R. Prasad, Chairman, ANITS, urged the studentsto share their knowledge by associating with other students. Prof.T.V.Hanumantha Rao,Principal, ANITS, in his message remarked that the learning should be a lifelong processand the students should update themselves with the advancements in Technology.

Dr.K.Murali Krishna, Professor and Head, ECE Department, Convener, ePROBE2016described about the various technical and non-technical events that are part of the Techfest and how these events will inspire the student to improve his skills, and make himemployable. The winners of various events were awarded the appreciation certificatesand prizes by the Chief Guest, Convener and the dignitaries on the dais.

Chief Guest mentioned some of the future

scopes of an Electrical Engineer and the

Two- day National Workshop

Department of Chemistry- (ANITS)organized a two- day National Workshop on“Nuclear energy and future perspectives inIndian Context” in association with IndianAssociation of Nuclear Chemists and AlliedScientists (Southern Regional Chapter) –IANCAS, Kalpakkam during 10 th- 11 th

February 2016. Resource persons fromIANCAS -Shri C.R.Venkata Subramani,President-IANCAS, Dr.R.Kumar- Scientific

officer/G, Secretary - IANCAS, Sri. K.A.Venkatesan, Scientific officer/G, Mr.G.V.S.AshokKumar, Scientific officer/D attended the workshop to deliver their lectures on variousaspects of Nuclear energy and its applications. Prof.R.Govardhan Rao, Director (Admin)of ANITS was president for the inaugural session. Shri .C.R.Venkata Subramani was theChief Guest for the session and Professor N.Padmaja, HoD-Chemistry & Dr.S.Siva Kumar,Assistant Professor, Chemistry were the conveners of the workshop. About 150 studentsfrom various engineering branches have attended the workshop. The workshop wasmainly conducted to give awareness among engineers about the current status of Nuclearenergy in India and its future perspectives. Participants were given a demo on calculationsof half-life of few isotopes, and awareness was given on Carrier opportunities in DAE(Department of Atomic Energy).

The Department of IT has organized a guestlecture on “Evolution of Electronics andbeyond – Think core beyond just software”by Mr. G.Satish Kumar, Research Scholar,UNI COLLEGE CORK, IRELAND inassociation with ANITS CommunicationEngineers Society(ACES), IEEE StudentBranch, IETE Student Forum of ANITS on23-12-2015. Mr. G.Satish Kumar is analumnus of ANITS, 2001-2005 batch. Earlier,he worked for Intel, NXP, Cypress andSynopsys
