Data transmission smartPoints wirelessly communicate with a wireless network consisting of a smartGate and smartRouters that extend the range of the communication. Logging and Flushing In range of a wireless network, smartPoints provide real-time information. Outside a wireless network, smartPoints log their measurements, and automatically download this log upon arrival in a wireless network. From the smartGate, the sensor measurements are securely communicated to the cen- tral berlinger smartview ® web application. This provides an integrated real-time view on shipments and storage facilities. Deployment smartPoints are small, battery-operated, intelligent wireless sensing devices with 2 MB on board data storage, advanced logging & flushing technology, and low energy consumption. smartPoints have an accurate internal temperature and hu- midity sensor, ideal for any application where relative humi- dity must be monitored and EN12830 compliance is required. With a magnetic reed switch for triggering behaviour, and a LED for visual inspection. Both sensors can be calibrated ba- sed on ISO/IEC 17025 standards. • Unique airworthiness Due to the unique protocol design and compliance with RTCA-DO-160G, smartPoints T/H can be used safely as wireless data loggers for air freight • Accurate temperature sensor Highly accurate temperature sensor employed to measure the environment • Robust The smartPoint T/H is extremely robust and easy to mount. With its IP65 rating it can be employed both in indoor and out- door environments • Low-power The smartPoint T/H offers a low-power network stack enabling multiple years of battery-operated usage • Automated logging & flushing With its 2 MB internal data storage, the smartPoint T/H logs all sensor readings and automatically flushes its log in case of temporary connection loss, offering a high degree of reliability • LED-feedback A LED provides feedback on the status of the smartPoint T/H for ease of use • IEEE 802.15.4 PHY compliant 2.4 GHz Radio Standardised and license free, worldwide Applications smartPoint T/H wireless monitoring devices are specifically targeted for pharmaceutical manufacturers, wholesalers, dis- tributors and logistics service providers that are responsible for the distribution of pharmaceutical and other highly tem- perature and humidity sensitive products.
