This Weeks Sanctuary Candle In Memory of Daniel Wills

By Jack Lacroix

July 15: 15th Sunday in Ordinary Time Am 7:1215 / Eph 1:314 / Mk 6:713

Have you ever gone door to door to share the good news? Perhaps you participated in conducting the parish census a couple years ago? No doubt, the apostles were excited at the prospects of going out to preach and heal, but probably also a little apprehensive. Who would they encounter? Who will we encounter as we go forth from Mass today? The Lord has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavens. Let us pray that as we meet our neighbors, that they will see Christ in us and that seeds of faith will be planted that will bear much fruit.

NFP Awareness Week:July 22-28, 2018 USCCB annual initiative to increase

awareness of God's plan for married love. July 2228 marks National NFP Awareness Week, an annual invi-tation to consider the beauty of God's plan for sex, love, and mar-riage. "Like so many other people who have made the switch to Nat-ural Family Planning," writes Jennifer Fulwiler, "I simply couldn't be okay with any form of sterilization any more, whether temporary or permanent. In that place deep in the heart where the most important truths about our humanity reside, I know as surely as I know any-thing else that those Catholic teachings about human sexuality are true and good." To learn more about those teachings, or about NFP—a healthy, effective, and respectful approach to family plan-ning please contact the Diocesan NFP Office, [email protected] or 518-483-0459. Visit us at www.rcdony.org/nfp.html.

PLANNED GIVING: Capital Campaign The Diocesan-wide It’s Our Church, It’s Our Future Capital Cam-paign will soon be upon us. The Diocese has set a $16 million goal, which will include $1.3 million for the 2018 Bishop’s Fund Appeal. Of the funds raised, 75% will remain at the Parish for local needs such as programs and capital improvements. The remain-ing 25% benefits the entire Diocese supporting Retired Priests, Seminarians, Camp Guggenheim and St. Mary’s Cathedral. Please prayerfully consider a gift to support our Church of the North Country. You will be receiving materials regarding the Cam-paign in the coming weeks

Notice Fall Dinner

We will be having a Harvest Dinner planning meeting on July 18th at 4:30 PM in the parish center. We invite all committee members to

attend and also any new members who would like to plan our Fall/Harvest Dinner

Please Note: If you have bottles that you would like to donate to the church, we ask you to con-tact Joe Siskavich @ 518-534-0266 our maintenance guy to arrange drop off at Jidnickles Redemption Center. We thank Billy Franks for his years of service han-dling the bottles and donating them back for our fuel needs.
