� Ease of Access is a set of tools that make using a computer easier if you have a disability such aspoor eyesight, loss of mobility, or hearing loss.
� In the Ease of Access Center, you can take a survey that will help you decide which tools touse or launch each tool individually.
To complete this project, you will need the following file:� New blank WordPad document
You will save your file as:� Lastname_Firstname_w7_07_Ease
1. Click Start , and then click Control Panel. In the Control Panel window, click Ease ofAccess.
2. In the Ease of Access window, click Ease of Access Center, and then compare your screenwith Figure 1.
The four most common Ease of Access tools display above a yellow bar. After a shortperiod of time, each of the four tools are selected in a rotating cycle so that a personneeding that tool only needs to press J to start the tool. If you have your speakersturned on or are using headphones, you will hear the Narrator read each selection.

3. In the yellow bar, click Get recommendations to make your computer easier to use. Readthe survey directions, and then under Eyesight (1 of 5), select the check boxes that applyto you.
4. Click Next, and then under Dexterity (2 of 5), select the check boxes that apply to you.
5. Click Next, and then under Hearing (3 of 5), select the check boxes that apply to you.
6. Click Next, and then under Speech (4 of 5), select the check boxes that apply to you.
7. Click Next, and then under Reasoning (5 of 5), select the check boxes that apply to you. Ifyou have not yet selected any check boxes, select the It is often difficult for me to concentratecheck box.
8. Click Done, and then compare your screen with Figure 2.
The Recommended settings window displays a personalized selection of Ease of Accesstools that may help you. Here, you would select the tools you want, and then click OKto turn them on.

9. Create a Full-screen Snip, click Copy , and then Close the markup window withoutsaving the changes.
10. Start WordPad, type your first and last name, and then add a new line. Type Windows 7Chapter 7 More Skills 13
11. Add a new line, and then in the Insert group, click Date and time. Click OK, add a newline, and then Paste the snip. Add a new line, and then type Ease of Accessrecommendations
12. Save the document in your Windows 7 Chapter 7 folder asLastname_Firstname_w7_07_Ease
13. Switch to the Recommended settings window, and then click Cancel so that no Ease ofAccess tools are started.
14. In the Ease of Access Center window, click Start Magnifier.
15. If the Magnifier toolbar does not display, on the taskbar, click the Magnifier button .If the Magnifier is not docked at the top of the screen, in the Magnifier toolbar, click theViews button, and then click Docked.
16. Point to Explore all settings, and then compare your screen with Figure 3.
