As some of you know, and for those that do not, I have been a part of a non-profit Christian missions organization for close to three years now. My beginnings with “Youth With A Mission” (or YWAM) started off in Perth, Australia and for the past two years, I have called the YWAM base in Los Angeles my home. YWAM offers hundreds of schools that equip people in the ministries they feel God calling them to. The prerequisite of any YWAM course is a Discipleship Training School or DTS. In a DTS, you spend three months in a lecture phase, the part that more traditionally looks like “school” During that time, you cover topics such as; Hearing God’s voice, Relationships, Servanthood, The Root & Fruits of Pride, and Global Missions, just to name a few. The second part of the DTS is called the “outreach phase.” Outreach is a two-month journey overseas where you implement the things that you learned within your lecture phase in a very practical way. We go into varying countries and serve with the center focus always being obedience to God and stepping out at His call. Since my beginnings, in Perth three years ago, I have spent a total of 12 months overseas in countries including; Indonesia, Nepal, Morocco, Mexico, and Costa Rica. While in these countries, some of the ministries I have experienced include teaching English, cross cultural evangelism, feeding the homeless, praying for people, and putting on games for children. Most recently I have returned from a two-month trip to Thailand, which I lead as a part of staffing this past DTS.

Youth With A MissionWho are we?

Youth With A Mission is an i n t e r n a t i o n a l vo l u n t e e r movement of Christians from many backgrounds, cultures and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Also known as YWAM (our purpose is simply to know God and to make Him known.

What are we about?

When YWAM began in 1960, our main focus was giving young people opportunities to demonstrate the love of Jesus to the whole world, according to His command in Mark 16:15. Today, we still focus on youth, but we have members (known as “YWAMers”) of almost every age and many of our short-term efforts have grow into long-term endeavors that have impacted lives and nations.

As a growing leader God is continually challenging me to

step out in new areas of ministry,

not only when overseas, but also when working with the youth around me. Discipleship is a key component to spiritual growth, and much of what I do as staff with YWAM is disciple those individuals that come hungry for God. Through a lifestyle of worship and obedience, I am pursuing the call of discipleship that God has given me for young people, and my desire is to see other young men and women grow into the gifts and passions God has given them, and step out boldly for the purposes He has for them.

In saying all of this I acknowledge that God has been so faithful in

providing for my needs.

My staff fees per month are $275, and currently I have one supporter that gives $100 a month, for which I am thankful. More recently, as I have sensed a

longer term call for myself to YWAM and the work that I do here, I have felt God nudging me to raise up a team of supporters; a group of people that would give to me financially, on a monthly basis and pray for me consistently. One of YWAM’s values is to RELY ON RELATIONSHIP-BASED SUPPORT, depending upon God and His people for financial provision, both corporately and individually. We believe that relationship-based support promotes responsibility, accountability, communication, and mutual prayer. It involves the donor as a partner in ministry. And this is my heart, to gather a network of individuals who will partner with me in the ministry God leads me through. So, this is my request, pray and ask God. If you feel lead to do so, or if you want more information, please call me and I would love to share more of what God has been doing and how you can be a part of this life God has called me to.

God Bless.
