Erbaceo is an elegant and expressive wine, straw-yellow in color with greenish reflections. It unfolds on the nose in all its fascinating aromatic bouquet, where the intense fruit reveals hints of pineapple clearly distinguishable in the interweaving of floral and herbaceous notes. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very nicely balanced, rich and smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious mild pear with notes of gentle oak and apple. I also detected a hint of ginger and white pepper. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely.

Villa di Geggiano, Chianti Classico (Toscana), 2013 Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon,

Brilliant dark ruby coloured. Black Cherry, Violet and vinous fragrance offered by the “terroir” allied to hints of Vanilla and crisp oak. On the palate it’s full and round with a bit of the typical Sangiovese dusky tannins that still display the burr of youth and rich fruit, especially cherries that lead into a clean, persistent finish.

6oz $21, 3 oz $10.5, 2 oz $ 7
Walraven Vineyard Chardonnay is a complex wine with warm, sumptuous earth notes and a round, creamy fullness. These initial aromas give way to soft spice, nutmeg, white pepper and delicate cascade of white stone fruit, peaches and nectarines. The mouthfeel displays Walraven’s distinctive airiness and purity. Intense flavors of ripe yellow peach, honeydew melon and Comice pear fill the mid-palate.
Pinot Noir, Vivette by Saintsbury, (Napa Valley ), 2016
6oz $12, 3 oz $6, 2 oz $ 4
Pretty cherry and red plum notes combine with violets and fresh leaves on the nose. The lively palate adds wild raspberries of red and black along with bright acidity to make a softly elegant finish.
Pinot Noir, Roar, (Santa Lucia Highlands), 2014
6oz $20, 3 oz $10, 2 oz $ 6.75
Our 2014 Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir comes out of the gates with a creamy, lifted fruit nose threaded with coffee and black licorice and supported by a base of forest and earth. The palate blends a range of fruit - from black cherry and blackberry to hints of boysenberry - with savory smoked meats and forest floor. As it opens up, creamy vanilla bean and lifted evergreen make their appearance, and dense cassis joins the fruit profile - a rich complement to the structured, drawn-out finish.
2015 was one those years that every winemaker dreams of having at least once in his career. The balanced season with a warm and sunny summer, but with a cool, dry weather during the harvest produced wines that perfectly denote the seasonal trend. Rarely do we find a perfect balance between the various components of the wine, from the deep ruby colour, to the crisp and fresh fruity hints with an ideally meaty texture, supported by silky, smooth tannins, devoid of any harsh edge.”
Rosso di Montalcino, Casisano, Tommasi, (Toscana), 2015 100% Sangiovese
6oz $16, 3 oz $8 2 oz $ 5.50
There are plenty of caramelized strawberries as well as treacle tart to this Rosso di Montalcino, which follows through to a rich yet tight palate with refreshing acidity and a pretty finish
Deep garnet red in color; the nose reveals a beautiful and sensual fragrance with a rich complexity and intense floral component of violet and rose, and a very crisp red fruit, raspberry and strawberry, with notes of black pepper, cloves, and licorice. Its taste is full and mellow, very balanced, with a nice tannin structure. Wine characterized by elegance and finesse.
