OUR MISSION
The Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce will provide leadership to promote a progressive
business environment.
OUR VISON
Business and community working together to make Dickinson and Southwest North Dakota the
most attractive place to live, work, and conduct business.
The Chamber’s mission is “to provide leadership to promote a progressive business environment.” This is
why we do everything we do. Every event we undertake, every activity we participate in, every endeavor we
sponsor, every meeting we attend, every marketing piece we create—all of these things are matched against
this mission statement to make sure that they help to accomplish it. The chamber is the place for businesses,
clients, volunteers and industry professionals to connect and work together towards the common goals of
strong economy and quality of life. We are more than 550 members strong. And we recognize that together,
we can do far more than any of us can do alone.
Great Momentum Achieved
Great Plans for 2015
Friends, colleagues, volunteers, and Chamber members: thanks to you, we stand poised as a chamber and as a
community to meet head on the challenges we face with confidence, clear vision and optimism.
Christian Kostelecky, 2014-2015 Board President

We helped create and continue to support the Downtown Dickinson
Association, recognizing that a healthy downtown is an absolutely
integral part of a thriving community, and is a benefit to all whether
located in the downtown or not.
We created the first ever State of the City event, and had representatives
from DSU, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Dickinson Public Schools and the City
of Dickinson give a state of community affairs from their organi-zation’s perspective—and we even fed you lunch while you listened!
Seeing a need in our community for more professional development op-
portunities, we partnered with DSU’s Strom Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation to provide monthly
Lunch & Learns on topics ranging from social media to employee retention
and just about everything in between.
Further development of our Governmental Affairs program.
The creation of a Professional Development Committee to offer
more educational programming to the community.
The creation of an Energy Committee to foster stronger relationships
