The Simple Greek is a traditional Greek restaurant franchise founded by Marcus Lemonis. Irangel has over 20 years of restaurant experience and Julie will continue at DMACC where she has been the Biotechnology Program Chair for over 10 years. The menu features a variety of proteins including traditional gyro, chicken gyro along with grilled chicken, steak and shrimp along side vegetarian and vegan options including lentils and falafel. An Ankeny resident for the last seven years, Ryan Weldon is making a run for the Ankeny School Board. Ryan’s desire to serve on the school board
is motivated by his family. He and his wife Regina have three children who will be educated by the Ankeny School District over the next couple of decades. With a background in digital marketing, Ryan hopes to use his perspective and experience to help the district manage growth wisely, prioritize technology, support policies that empower teachers and encourage increased transparency between the school district and the public.
