Technology is slowly replacing human beings at the workplace. Many of the transactional, low skilled jobs like office secretary, accountants, teller clerks, call center agents, translators, interpreters etc. have already been taken away by machines. Now many of the white collar and blue collars jobs are under threat. According to a study, Automation will displace 22.7 million US jobs by 2025.

Emerging Workforce Trends• By 2020, more than a 3rd of the desired core skill sets of most occupations will be skills that are

not yet considered crucial to today

• High unemployment with unfilled jobs…Rising productivity with stagnant wages..Economic recovery with declining upward mobility

•  The make-up of the workforce will keep changing. Four Generations will work together by 2020

• Man and Machines will work together at the workplace

• Shifting Workforce Demographics- Workforce will be global, virtual and mobile spread across countries and cultures

• Organization Structures are Changing- Hierarchical Structures of the past are breaking down Self Empowered Teams are Emerging
